Want to extend a very large CONGRATS to Mr. Steve "Soup/Warlock" Campbell for winning the 1st Annual KenCares Classic at Camp Sankanac!!! He came back from a few strokes deficit to pull out the 'w' in the Advanced Division. Way to rep the Hills at challenging (but totally awesome) course!!!!

Just want to let everyone know that I have not forgotten about you all, I have been under doctors care. I recently had an MRI on my right shoulder and have my follow up appointment on April 29th. Hopefully no surgery. As soon as I am able I will be back out to take the #2 tag from whom ever is holding it. :) Happy Easter to you and yours.

Friends,

Doc just let me know of another possibility. Someone posted on Harford County's webpage that they want more disc golf courses in Harford County. Here's the thread:

http://harfordcountymd.spigit.com/Idea/View?ideaid=966

Someone by the name of Frankie says, "Let us hear from you if you want more disc golf courses ..." If you want more courses in Harford County, here's your opportunity to tell the county. Speak up, practice democracy, and have a say in ... more

Friends,

I'm not sure if you were aware of a new state park scheduled for development in Harford County, Palmer State Park. It's a few miles up the road from Scarboro (turn left at the end of the drive, head toward Rt 1. Rather than turning right or left, continue straight on Trappe Road, then turn right on Forge Hill Road). A parking lot is projected off of Forge Hill Road. Here's a link to the MD write-up, a proposed map of the park, and the state's solicitation's ... more

Were we scheduled to hold tags at C-ville this week or next week? If it's this week I'm out, Taylor has an all day indoor field hockey tourney. That doesn't mean that I can't bring my basket out for the taggers. Lemme know.

That's awesome Josh. Good friend of mine is the lead singer for Walk ins Welcome. Great band. Always an awesome time when they're playing. Maybe I'll venture out there.

Cory I'd love to see you come out and do some Boot Scootin'

Reposting from the MD Board. Anyone interested in introducing the sport to some cub scouts?

"by Scott H » Mon Feb 14, 2011 10:19 am

I am interested in introducing Cub Scouts to the sport. I haven't played since my youth in San Diego, so I know very little about the sport in this area. I live in Abingdon and thought I saw something at the Churchville Rec Center. Is there a course there? Also, I didn' ... more

If you volunteered your basket(s) for the C-ville 6 round, please arrive at 0845 with said basket(s) so we can set up the course before the rest of the players show up. If you don't want to play tags, but want to try out the C-ville 6, please show up at the Rec Center at 0930 on Sunday, November 28th. We'll play 3 times through for a full round.

I look forward to playing the course and hearing your feedback. No worries if you can't make it, you'll have plenty of opportunities to play the C-ville 6 in the near future.

All,

I plan on being at Tags this sunday. Since the Ravens play Thurs and the Steelers play Sun night, any chance we perform some light maintenance/trash pick up and possibly move baskets? I haven't been out for about 2 weeks so I don't know if any baskets have been moved, if they have, then no need to move more. Could be good to do a little clearing of some underbrush and things like that. Just a thought. Anyone else with me?

i nominate The Don to be a C-ville Rec Council member. Who seconds my vote?

Great news lemster, thanx for passing it along. Don and I are meeting with the Maryland Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation on the 11th. Will share news with everyone whenever I have it.

Agreed, thanx to everyone's interest and support. We are already making strides. I truly believe we'll continue to do so as long as we all stay focused and continue to work together. I really think 2011 will be breakout year for MD disc golf. Chuckin bees from the Bay to the beach, to the mountains :))
