Yesterday I, with a little help from my friends, cleaned longs and shorts on Indy's Red Hawk. Then they were recleaned and salted.

Fortch and I scraped all of the pads at Indy after Ben and Mike so now thy are in pretty good shape. The sun even came out for a minute and melted the glaze on the pads that weren't in the shade. Thanks everyone for the group effort. I've got some photos I'll post up later.

Windy Indy is clear. Blacks & Whites 1-18, shoveled off but still have a glaze. White Tee's on 15, 17 & 18 were too stomped down, but I scrapped the best I could. I was told Ben C was behind me scraping Tee's as well, so Indy should be all set, especially if Nate is there Sunday with sand

It turns out that they do have a shovel outside at HM although it needs a radiator hose clamp to keep it on the handle and it's well past middle-age down where the metal meets the concrete. Given the current fee structure, I believe a new shovel is not too much to ask for.
As for the tees, 1-18 are now shoveled, both red & blue. Half of red is in nice shape, the other half plus most of blue will need some sun rays, a little salt, or above freezing temps to finish off the thin lay ...

lol....Someone has a case of the Bah Humbugs eh? How about this....Stop being a lazy fucking cry baby and call the park yourself. Here's their phone number since you are clearly too lazy to use google or pick up a phone: (734) 426-8211 Cheers and Merry Christmas :D

yes i dont really care what you have to say but i usually like your responses so i thought i would ask for one direct. they are usually long winded and wordy without reason drawing upon your seemingly limited experiences and presenting it as though proper gospel. i care not want not nor ask not sons. the golfers you are schooling have been borrowing hudson mills shovels since before you had ever drove in. mind your tone. the question was way more simple. is the fucking shovel leaning against the side of the building these days or not?

I do not speak for the Metro Park Authority, nor am I Representative. I am speaking from experience and experience has told me.....If you want something done right, you do it yourself. Me personally, I would bring my own shovel. The Metro Parks have always had a tendency to be a bit lazy in those kind of aspects when catering to the Disc Golfer. As Scott noted, give the good folks in the front office a jingle. I plan on hitting some courses this weekend, and I plan on bringing a shovel to each course just in case.

hm has usually supplied shovels for disc golfers, Just ask at the frONt desk, G.
g lane December 23, 2010 at 2:16am
mike can i assume from your response you are the metro park liaison? if so, why has providing shovels as was always the case in the past become uncustomary? is it because if we are able to pay to play then you have drawn the conclusion that we can afford our own shovels?
i am not diggin this news.
Mike Even December 23, 2010 at 2:04am
lol....Your going to want to bring your own shovel bud :D
Jim Daniels December 22, 2010 at 8:13pm
are the Metro Parks supplying shovels or is it bring your own?

Today would be a great one to get out there and clear those icy pads.
Matt "The Spider" Swider January 15, 2011 at 2:39am
I went out once again today. Chuck D pads are recleaned, and I shoveled fresh pads on Picinic. Smooth sailing tomorrow.
