I wish to thank the volenteers who came out this morning (wednesday) and did some more grunt work. Thanks Eric Centanni for the work you did on the steps on hole 14 and for using your shovel as a weed eater to clean # 14 fairway (she, the fairway hasn't looked better) and also Thank you Steve Godar for sickling #14 fairway and putting up with my attitude. Speaking of my attitude, once again I wonder why the STATE isn't doing any mowing of the fairways of the course. The few and the proud volenteers that have spent countless amount of work in the park to get this DGC in the shape it is deserve better than what the STATE is doing, Granted they are allowing us to use the park space (and we're all very gratefull for the usage of this great park land), but Come on STATE park people, can you explain to us why you haven't mowed the DGC yet?? Personally I don't want to hear any explaining, I want to see some involvement.

As everyone knows, we are starting a Thursday night league tomorrow night (at 6pm). # 15 fairway needs weed eated badly. Can someone please weed eat #15's fairway before our grand opening of league, please...... IMHO i don't think the DGC is ready for league play because of the shape of # 15 fairway. I know I wouldn't invite guests into my home if it was a mess and # 15 fairway needs weed eated badly, any volenteers????

i just tried to post my score that I shot today and couldn't as it's not set up to the new 18 hole format. How does one change the format? Any help would be greatly appreciated

well if you don't know what to expect, then you'll fit right in. As it's the first night of leauges at PL and the back 9 fairways are a mess. They're awesomew, but the fairways needs mowed. Hope Everyone can come out and join in the funage.

Great job to everyone who has been working on the course. I was out there Saturday, and it's amazing to see the transformation from when I had helped out on a work day so many weeks ago. Great job everyone, it's so nice to see a group of people work together to make something like this happen!

Is the Thursday night doubles league open to anybody who shows up? I'd like to make it out if schedule allows, but have no idea what to expect (never played in any sort of organized league or event before).

All tees and signs are in (Matt already had that covered). The downed tree on 18 was removed. Steps were added leading to the 18 basket. More of the swamp on 15 was cleared. As to what next: 1) the rest of the swamp on 15 near basket needs to be cleared, 2) the left side of 15 before it goes up the ridge should be cleared more and the brush moved further to the left 3) the tee area on 11 needs to have poison ivy and brush removed 4) weeds wacked everywhere.

I apologize for not showing up this morning along with the rest of you. Worked hard all night and until 8:30 am, by the time I got home to get ready to do it all over again up at the lakes my body was telling me to go to bed. And at my age you should listen to your body. Can you review what was done and whats needs to be done. Maybe I can get up there tomorrow for a little while.

i gotta agree with greg on this one, the overall flow, atmosphere and difficulty of this course aren't found anywhere in this area. big thank you to everyone who developed and worked on this course. i was pumped after playing the full 18 yesterday!

Props to all who made this course what it is. With time, this course will mature to be the best course in n.e.ohio. The views,pin placements,and over all play, of the back 9 ,can't be touched by any course in this area.

I have a good portable basket. I'm able to help out this week, but next week I'll be studying for finals. After that it's summer for me and should be able to help out again almost every weekend.

The hospital released her today and I took her back to her nursing home. don't know if I'll make it tomorrow, it's still pretty crazy. Can't wait to see what you guys have done since I've been gone. #14 should ans will be a birdie hole and most of the players will need that birdie because it's going to be a tough DGC when the basket get put in. I've asked a friend that has one of my portable baskets to get it back to me so we can fiddle around with different positions on the back 9, but haven't gotten it yet. But I'd like to do that with the PL club and get a good feel of possible positions. Anyone have any light weight portables? maybe we could set up 3 holes at a time so we could accomadate more pplayers? your thoughts.
