Thank you to everyone who put a hand in over the weekend to put on a great tournament and for the great clinic today! I appreciate all the work, effort, and time some people put into this course. If any help or anything needs done, please let me know.

Turns out I have to work in the morning, If anyone can meet Jerry to show him where to dump the mulch with the tractor give me a call 216 543 1339 (2's basket bottom of the hill and 18's short tee can be done wheelbarrow, 12's basket as close as he can get, 17's basket and 6's basket if we have enough) one bucket full for each. Other things that need done, try to push the fallen tree on 17's fairway off the stump so we can cut it up (may take a few guys) roll the tree trunks in front of 2' ... more

I've got the day off Mr. Doh. I'll meet you there.

No problem, it definitely needs taken care of, it is scary to see children and dogs around there... I will be there round 9am friday for sure if anyone wants to join I will bring extra stuff just in case
Matt Dungan August 8 at 8:13pm
that would be great jon if you could pick up whatever glass you can around 2's basket before we spread mulch (i noticed a lot today at the bottom of the hill) there is a dumpster left of 7's fairway, thanks
Mitch G August 7 at 7:50pm
I can come tmrw or friday before noon, if someone wants to help out, i can bring some gloves and buckets
Dan Hyzer August 7 at 7:46pm
What time and equipment should we bring this Saturday?
@Jon Doh, agreed that more needs to be done with the glass situation, but with people such as yourself that wants to help out that's a BIG step to getting that area cleaned up. Be careful and I hope you unearth a bottle that worth some $$
Mitch G August 7 at 7:21pm
that glass needs more than covered up with mulch... I know it would be a tough job but I am willing to spend some time picking up glass with a few other folks and get it a little better, some of that glass has been there 50 years it seams
Matt Dungan August 6 at 10:53pm
maybe some more mulch around 2's basket near the bottom of the hill to keep a lid on the glass. i think we could also use some around 18's short tee and i'd like to get the tractor to take a load down to 12's basket and also 6's and 17's basket. just my thoughts. I would also like to try and clean up the rough a little on off 15's left fairway
Jim Havassy August 6 at 8:54pm
is the mulch going to be moved by the tractor to the areas that it is needed?
Matt Dungan August 6 at 6:18pm
Just a little mulch spreading, clean up downed limbs etc. your basic course cleaning before a tournament
Carl Peterson August 6 at 7:51am
If you are not playing in the YUTE! on Saturday, Aug. 11 (Canton and Massillon), come on out to help Matt Dungan get Portage Lakes ready for its first sanctioned tournament on the new concrete tees (Aug. 18-19). Work will start around 9:00 Saturday morning, Aug. 11. Also, don't forget the Tiger Town Open on Sunday Aug. 12 at Massillon.
Dan Davis August 4 at 10:35pm
its bad when you miss your line by a mile and end up in the center of the fair way, and I catch a limb and get redirected in to land where no ones been
Great clinic tonight and scrambles that was a great night at Portage Lakes!
