Heading to Joe moody at 5 today if anyone wants to play

did anybody play for tags this weekend? If so, submit it on our league site and me or one of the others will verify it. Even if you kept tag, go ahead and put it in. By the way, I had to follow my own rule about playing higher number. It hurt when I lost and gave up my 13 for a 24. Luckily, I won it back in next match. I will be out there at jm tues if anyone wants to play.

I will be at Joe Moody arond 4:30 tomorrow and then must migrate to UTO at 6:30 to get Ian to Scouts, will play anyone out at either location at those times..... didn't mean to say Kirk was the most important, simply the best until someone beats him.... -TJames

technically, Kirk would be low on the pole because they put the most important people at the bottom so you would see them first, just a little totem trivia.......

Im gonna be at Joe moody tomorrow. I hope to get some tag games in. I know I'm low on the pole but I got to start somewhere

For the record, Ken Climo is top ten in the world rankings.... It wasn't 1v1, there were two other people playing (like crap but, I have beat Mike before even if he forgets) I was actually surprised how my game changes when I am playing for something... I like to play ambivalently, suddenly every shot matters, I try too hard and I play poorly..... The added concept of competition is there and I hope to overcome it but it is fun and I relish the experience. I am not saying the rule is bad, s ... more

Just to add to what I said previously. I do feel more competition when I am playing 1v1 (Tim and I) just for the sure fact that the game is moving faster and we are constantly forcing each other to make better throws than last. I also do like playing with a group of people as well no matter how high or low the tag they carry is. To me it's just 2 different playing types.

As was stated before we only have 30 or so tags. So if we do the 5 tag limit said "Ken Climo" person only plays 6 times to get to within 1 . Which isn't really that many.
Kirk- I know the Ramsey crew plus a few others play on Tuesday usually at Joe Moody, which I always enjoy .I usually am out at Joe Moody all through the week at or around 4:30-5:00
Joey- I agree with Kirk about having a weekly or monthly tourny where all tags are up for grabs. That is where said person can hav ... more

Other clubs have weekly bag tag events. I believe we need to start having those as well. These events will provide many opportunities for tag exchanges. Someone could have had a bad day, lost a tag, and then will have his/her shot to move back up. These events should have a 2 dollar by in. One dollar will be for the club and and one dollar should go to the Ace pot for that course. Joey is right... The driving purpose of this "club" should be to get out and play. James, that does seem kind of wierd with a person dropping that low. But they should be able to challenge right back up to above the player they are better than. OF course then that person has to challenge back up, so on and so on. It would eventually come out in the wash. I agree not the best scenario but I personally still think it is better than having a truly dominating player have to play people that are way down the list and take forever to work his way up the list. Any ideas out there where we can have the best of both worlds?

I didn't mean everyone come up with rules but there should be options and the whole club vote on them say #2,3,4 & 9 on my rules and 1,5 7 & 8 on Kirks and 2,3,6 on someone else, just an example. But just make some and let us post it .. I say we all just get together on set days and play for all the tags.

I played today for any and all tags of course it went down to me and Mike Bennett for ours,Congrats to him we tied and he won on closest to the pin. he played a great round, but i will be back and i am still # 4 so any and all come get some Turbo Tim

it's the ranking part that's skewed, I am ok if that's the way the rules are written but if Ken Climo comes to town, buys hypothetical tag 85 and beats #1, now Kirk is #85.... he can beat # 2, now Mikes #85.... just saying.

Tim, as far as rules go, there is no way we would get anything accomplished if we have everybody in club in a meeting trying to come up with rules. We had 4 people reviewing and deciding on rules. I do think that if there are any rules that the club is not happy with, we should discuss them like we are on the challenge section, and then have a vote. Speaking of votes, I would like to buy an official score keeping system for tournaments with money we got from tournament. What do you guys think of that. It would be nice to have it for our tournament in June. They cost about 125.-130.

At first I wanted to have a rule that you could only challenge up to 5 spots ahead of you. After much thought and discussion, that would not work as well because with only 25-30 players it would limit the amount of people you could challenge. It is going to make it more difficult to find people to challenge if you can only move up a certain amount of numbers. The idea is to have a lot of challenges. Also, the tags are supposed to be showing how good you are and rank you according to that. They a ... more

I feel the same way (as some of you might know) as Tjames. I understand about someone new coming and having that problem, but at the same time they are playing and getting to know people in the club as well.

Im hoping to get out to Joe Moody tomorrow around 10-10:30 AM for a bag tag round, and on Sunday at Under the Oaks around the same time.

Tim, yes,,, for weather,,, the challenge is off,,, no question. TJ, I see your point but how about this one... I am a new player. Been playing for 10 years and just moved to Panama City. I used to part of a club back home. I was number 3 there. If we don't allow number 85 to challenge number 1, this new guy will have to play from the very bottom to the very top. He will have to play against those that have only been playing for much less time than he has played. I am all for a club vo ... more

Just think it's harsh to let latecomers drop a gold to mid 20's on a nine hole challenge.... seems like there should have to be a climbing of the ranks to take that much advantage of those that competed and those that bought in afterwards..... Just my opinion.... -TJames

Sorry site won't let me post this with the Bag Tag Rules for some reason ,There is no way to comment to what Joey posts. This looks pretty much like the rules i had posted. with Kirks twist. #3 Personally i would like to see and hear others input and possibly have a club vote on it. seeing as we all have to play by them. So are you #1 now lol.
On #5 how about if it starts storming ,lightning,I don't believe we should have to give up our tags for mother Nature. or endanger ourselves.

Just my 2 cents Turbo Tim
