Just a reminder, doubles is today at 5 with tee off at 530. We're playing yellow tee pads and what I'm calling "forced 9" doubles which means that each team has to take 9 drives from each teammate. $3 to play, two $1 ctps and a $1 ace pot so $6 total if you want to be in on everything. I'll also be giving away a metal flake nuke on a third ctp that you don't have to pay anything for. Hope to see you out there.

NOW is the time to register for Huktoberfest! You can do it at Disc Golf Scene or at pdga.com.
Also, I need help with sponsorship!!! If you can sponsor or know anyone who can sponsor, please let me know. It will not go wasted.

Well we had 8 people show and everyone seemed to like the 9 drive thing, could use a little tweaking maybe. It was pretty easy to keep track of drives and I think it made the last couple of holes really interesting. If no one objects I think we'll do it this way for a couple weeks and see how people respond. Going forward it'll be $3 to play with $2 going to payout and $1 going to the club. We'll also have 2 $1 ctps and a $1 ace pot so $6 total if you want in on everything. Payout won't be big b ... more

Also curious.

So how'd it go?
Kyle Fendrick August 28 at 3:13pm
I'm making cards right now that will work either way. I like Justin's idea for the money and 5 o'clock registration 5:30 tee off. So that's $2 to play, $1 ace pot and four 50 cent ctp's. $5 total. Sound alright?
Stu Jensen August 28 at 3:03pm
I was hoping to make it tonight, but with school starting I'm already swamped with homework. Let me know how it goes. Also remember that the ace race is coming up. Let's push for that 150 players!

For Kyle's Idea, a custom score card, split in half for each players drives could work. Maybe color coded. Also, we could make opposing teams keep score for eachother to keep em honest.

Why don't we just have some normal tag rounds for bragging rights. isn't that why we have tags? I think we should have a tag league. We all payed 15 or 20 bucks for tags and the name nudga but nothing really happens with it. Or howbout a nudga fundraiser tourny for just tags and a few bucks for the club. Plus you might get more ppl to join nudga.

So how much is doubles today? What time does it start?
Steven Goen August 28 at 8:16am
Where the heck is Sylvester when ya need him.....he'll put dubs back on the map...haha, J/K......I'm Down for whatever NUDGA!!

I think we oughta try Kyle's idea for awhile (it sounds a little complicated, but we can probably come up with a system to track the 9-drive thing). Stu, I think we've tried every possible variation of A-player red and B-player yellow over the years and, while some of them are okay, it's never quite the level playing field everybody seems to want. Random is good IMHO. Anybody up for 530 dubs tomorrow? I'm finally off on Tuesdays and, if my morning goes well (ahem), I'll be wanting to play.
Witnessed the sickest Ace to date today....Cody Cummings aced hole E with a perfectly straight bomb up the gut.....Great shot Cody!
