I would be happy to help. I know the PDGA has a DVD available just for this sort of thing. It shows a lot of the benefits and stats of disc golf, its designed as a tool to help get new courses. I will call the PDGA office tonight and request a copy. I don't have any experience with power point, but I do OK speaking in front of people, as long as its about disc golf:)

OK folk. Ogden city has put us on their agenda for 25 May. I didn’t ask them to do that, but can anyone put together a presentation before then? In June they are having budget meetings all month and I am thinking we need to see them before their budget meetings. Who knows, maybe they can work us into their next budget. Probably not, but it could happen, who knows. The next time we could get in would be in July. I know we can get something done by then. I know I can’t get anything done by the 25th.

I wrote an email to Ogden city about getting another course in Ogden, and one of the city council members seems interested so far, but we need to get on the city council meeting agenda which we can do, but we need the below for the meeting. The below is what the councilmen asked for. Is anyone a PowerPoint expert out there that could put this together? I could probably do it, but it would take me forever to get it done. Once we have this we can go to other cities and present our case to them als ... more

OK now it's time to focus on the Riverpark Open! Over 200 discs are ordered, shirts are ordered, Kent already has some awesome sponsorships in the making and there is a lot of work to be done to make this an awesome tourny. Online registration is ready at PDGA.com and this year will be pre-registration only so git-r-done. Let's prove to ourselves that we can have the best event in Utah!!

I think the tournament directors of Creekside Open are well aware of some of the complaints that people have concerning the tournament. I'm sure they might have wished they did a few things different. But it was still a fun time and these guys are our disc golf friends. Lets keep it that way.

Ok NUDGA, I am compiling a list of complaints about the creekside open. I have got to give some huge props to the salt lake boys that put so much time into the course maintenance and the moving of baskets...that part of the tournament was as good as it gets. I am referring to the lack of organization, payout, and tournament directing in general. I have played in quite a few tourneys, as well as hosted a few myself, and I know it requires a lot of work. But damnit, if you are going to do some ... more

Creekside was pretty disappointing this year, heard alot of people say that.(even people who normally don't complain) I still had a blast, sure didn't score very well though!! (maybe I'm just not an ISLAND kinda guy)

Played the farm in Tremonton today. Absolutely sick. Anybody who doesn't show up to play for the Farm Friz Fest next week is totally missing out. Absolutely awesome.
Stu Jensen April 30, 2010 at 4:27am
Hey NUDGA don't forget about the Farm Friz Fest in Tremonton. This is the second of six events in our Eyes on the Prize series. The more people we can get to come to these events the better. Anybody not playing in the Creekside Open come up to Tremonton to play a Saturday tag round. We also need the extra baskets. If you have one we can use let JZ or I know and we can make arrangements to get them up there. As for all our champions heading to Creekside, Tear It Up! NUDGA Represent!!

So I'm wondering what people would think about using a couple of the baskets that are about to be replaced and putting in holes 21 and 22 from the wizard tournament and making our course a twenty hole course. I would personaly volunteer to do the labor. One more thing I found a tape with the name Seth on it if it is yours just let me know I have it in my jeep.

Can somebody order some nice weather for this weekend. I did already but it seems to be on backorder. I’m tired of playing the creekside open in a hurricane. Can we take it down to a tropical depression at least.
RodFather Hess April 27, 2010 at 10:48pm
No saturday tag round this week or next week due to creekside open and E.O.T.P. #2.

DGA has some really great resources for disc golf promotion as well. I'm no good at powerpoint, but I would love to be involved in any way I can, and that goes for ANY disc golf promotion anywhere. Let's meet up asap and pool our resources. Maybe tomorrow. Any takers?
