Lex would be a good pick for a board member. I second that nomination. I’d like to see Rod in there too if he wants to.

I vote for Brody as chief course designer, and board member if he wants also. The board would pick course designers I would think though. Just a thought.

Brodey Hansen    February 10, 2011 at 9:53am

I nominate Lex. I would also like to nominate myself as the club's course designer, separate from the board of directors.

Rod Hess    February 10, 2011 at 12:18am

In our Planning Meeting/Party Sat. night we discussed forming a board of directors to lead our organization. The association is getting so big that we felt the need for some leadership. The board would meet once a month and would consist of 5 members. We decided that Kent needed to remain in charge of finances, and Star is going to be a part of the board as well. This means we still need 3 members and we decided they should be picked through a nomination and vote process. If you think someone is ... more

What classes a player for the ice bowl. How good do you need to shoot to play open compared to advanced and intermediate

Found a disc at Walcott marked G. Lemon. Anyone know him?

Kyle Fendrick    February 4, 2011 at 11:26pm

<---Peeks out of his cave. See's the tag argument is happening again. Goes back to sleep. It's like groundhog day but even more boring.....

Jay Kovach    February 4, 2011 at 11:23pm

Thats the best explanation i have heard way to go.

Tony "D-9" Spendlove    February 4, 2011 at 11:13pm

Hey guess what! A tag is just a tag. A worthless piece of pot-metal we all carry so proudly. Why??.My dog has several tags he packs on his collar but he never cops an attitude about them. Although he does occasionally lick his balls in public just to make others jealous. I started playing this game before Nudga had tags, THANK GOD! I always hear people asking if we have TAGS for sale. Hell no! We have a fee in order to become a member of the coolest group of disc golfers in the USA. This fee hel ... more

Altitude will be delivering at the Saturday doubles. If there is anything you need or want to look at, shoot us a message or email. If you want to buy on the site, the coupon code for the event is "doubles" and that will waive the shipping.

All's I know about tags is that I have the 1 and I'm showing tomorrow for the 330 thing. Although if I'm a few minutes late, I'm sure y'all will wait. lol

Rick Wardell    February 3, 2011 at 12:24pm

I didn’t say I was good at it, but I try. THANKS MAN.

Brodey Hansen    February 3, 2011 at 11:06am

Rick, you are such an ****! wish! You nailed it. If you want my tag, challenge me and take it, but don't complain to me if you forget to call out a "tag round." I beat people with lower tags than me without taking their tag, and you don't hear me whining. I agree that some rounds should be just for fun. During my favorite rounds, I don't even take score. Ask Big Jim how often we play for tags, hardly ever. The game is just that, a game. No matter how good you think you are, someone can beat you!

Rick Wardell    February 3, 2011 at 10:24am

Sorry in advance. I was sucked back in by the vortex. Here’s a little thing on rules. They breed. You start with couple of them, and they multiply constantly, and you end up with a bunch of crap that nobody likes. You can believe me on this subject. My job is to try to get folks to follow rules and regulations. I do it for a living. You could say I’m a paid professional asshole. We can’t have amateur wannabe assholes writing rules. Sorry wannabe assholes. This is not directed at anyone ... more

Speaking of tags, all the gold ones are gone. 51 through 100 are silver. Now if that doesn't piss people off I don't know what will. The things that I'm most concerned with is people losing their tags and wanting to be issued a new one. Please try and keep track of them so we don't have to charge you for a new one. Also try picking days when you don't even play for tags, we do it on thursday

Derek Yanez    February 2, 2011 at 11:46am

NUDGA IS THE BEST!!!!! **** people who do not respect discgolf or the club, it's all about FUN!! I've been playing Riverpark for 7 years and have never had a tag till this year so don't spoil it for me with all this hooplah, I got the 40 tag and will play anybody for it because I'm a mudda ****in discgolfer BEEYATCH!! I LOVE NUDGA! Lets keep those smiles on our faces and never let em turn into frowns. :]

Justin H    February 2, 2011 at 11:45am

This could be a solution, at least a start. **Everyone is on their honor to conduct themselves according to the rules and within the spirit of competition. Have fun. It's only a tag. The purpose of the Bag Tag Challenge is to encourage friendly competition among Northern Utah Disc Golf Association members. **In order for the Bag Tag Challenge to work, all challenges must be accepted. **Each player must have their Bag Tag at all times. Bag Tags must be plainly visible and can not be h ... more

Wow! U all, are a little excited about having fun! Glad their are us that "support" our "membership" so that we continue to have a great club.

David "Super Dave" Perry    February 2, 2011 at 10:27am

My comment compliments many others (Rod, Rick, etc) - I play to play and have fun. Tags ARE NOT trophies. If you get your panties up in a wad over what tag number you are holding and leave it at home so nobody can challenge you for it ... well, that's your reputation and respect on the line. I also agree that tags at tournies are rather bogus because of the variance between Open and Advanced tees - unless otherwise announced before the tourney starts (ergo handing in your tag at the time of regi ... more

I delt with many of these issues while on the board for the San Diego Aces. We had to clearly define the rules and state them on the club website. They are simple such as everyone on your card is an automatic tag challenge (no need to declare challenge). Tournament rounds with others in different groups as optional and declared before the event. I think the Aces rules are too complicated, but here they are for reference.

I hope this helps.
