Although he does occasionally lick his balls in public just to make others jealous. I started playing this game before Nudga had tags, THANK GOD! I always hear people asking if we have TAGS for sale. Hell no! We have a fee in order to become a member of the coolest group of disc golfers in the USA. This fee helps maintain our course and fund the best tournaments in the state. WE DON'T SELL TAGS. Yet that seems to be what way too many people concern themselves with, TAGS. I play for fun, the spirit of competition, and the camaraderie of awesome people who are members of our club. Who cares what tag you have. A good tag doesnt make you a better father/mother, husband/wife, neighbor, citizen, or friend. You wont be given sponsorship to play the PDGA tour. It will not enshrine your name into the library of congress. Your bag won't be on display at the smithsonian. You won't be given a raise at work, and you will not receive the congressional medal of honor. You'll still have to pay taxes, eat and breath once In a while in order to live. And when you take a dump, it will stink just like mine does. Go tell your neighbor or co-workers about your nifty little tag and it will probably bring a puzzled look to their face as they ask you what disc golf is. When they dig our bodies up in 2000 years they won't wonder in amazement at the shiny metallic charms we carried that were inscribed with a funny acronym and a series of numerals. Having a better tag than someone means nothing. We can ALL do SOMETHING better than the next guy. Just so happens that a GAME has brought us all together. And at times this GAME sets us apart, which is unfortunate. I say play to have fun and who gives a damn bout a piece of tin. It's not like you can take the #1 tag to PAWN STARS and retire off what they pay ya for it. Ha ha. There were MASSIVE TEARS FLOWING after the round to give out new tags because people left early and took tag with them. Who cares? Damn, the earth is gonna wobble off it's axis cause someone had to get a tag 1 digit worse than they earned. ITS DISC GOLF PEOPLE!! Not the superbowl, world series, Stanley cup or daytona 500. I luv ya all and enjoy playin with (almost) all of you. Don't let tags get in the way of good people enjoying an awesome game together. I've spoken my price, and then some, I'm out. PEACE

Rick, you are such an ****! ........you wish! You nailed it. If you want my tag, challenge me and take it, but don't complain to me if you forget to call out a "tag round." I beat people with lower tags than me without taking their tag, and you don't hear me whining. I agree that some rounds should be just for fun. During my favorite rounds, I don't even take score. Ask Big Jim how often we play for tags, hardly ever. The game is just that, a game. No matter how good you think you are, someone can beat you!

My job is to try to get folks to follow rules and regulations. I do it for a living. You could say I’m a paid professional ****. We can’t have amateur wannabe ****s writing rules. Sorry wannabe ****s. This is not directed at anyone specific. Just a small attempt at humor. You may not find it funny, but hey, I’m an ****. There are no consequences anyway. For example I’m not forfeiting my tag. If I leave before the round is over sure, but anything other than that, you are going to have to take it from me, rules or no rules. If I don’t follow the rules what’s going to happen to me? Nothing.

Cant people just do the right thing. I haven’t heard of anyone not playing for them. Perhaps I don’t play well enough for it to be an issue for me, but I can see that it could be an issue for the people that play the best on a regular basis. I like to let the not as good players have them for a while too. It’s good to share. It makes people feel good.

You have the low tags all of the time and can take them at any time. You can live without them for a little while. Maybe you shouldn’t play so well all the time. Then people wouldn’t be so scared of you. We get a pretty good shuffle of on Saturdays, but even the best players don’t come out every Saturday and give others a chance. We all know who the best players are and we don’t even need tags for that. If people are getting low tags and not playing for them just because they have a low tag, karma will come around and they will get theirs in the end.

Perhaps we should have a real league if someone wants to manage it, but someone will have to track who wins, who gets 2nd, 3rd, and so on, over a certain period of time then announce the results at the end. Maybe a points system? Like a real league. Not just who won last week or the last round. Which is all tags are in my opinion.

Sorry if I offended anyone but I’m a Professional **** and I don’t care. Keep it the way it is, or start a real league. That’s my vote. No more from me. I hope !! May get sucked back into the vortex though. I can’t control it !!!!

Speaking of tags, all the gold ones are gone. 51 through 100 are silver. Now if that doesn't piss people off I don't know what will. The things that I'm most concerned with is people losing their tags and wanting to be issued a new one. Please try and keep track of them so we don't have to charge you for a new one. Also try picking days when you don't even play for tags, we do it on thursday

NUDGA IS THE BEST!!!!! **** people who do not respect discgolf or the club, it's all about FUN!! I've been playing Riverpark for 7 years and have never had a tag till this year so don't spoil it for me with all this hooplah, I got the 40 tag and will play anybody for it because I'm a mudda ****in discgolfer BEEYATCH!! **In order for the Bag Tag Challenge to work, all challenges must be accepted.

**Each player must have their Bag Tag at all times. Bag Tags must be plainly visible and can not be hidden.

**Challenges are to be made by choosing times and courses that are reasonable.

**The higher Bag Tag challenges the lower Bag Tag. Challenges can be by phone, computer, or in person.

**The challenged player must give the challenger two (2) times to meet in the next two (2) weeks or they must forfeit the tag. If the challenger can not meet that timeline, the challenge is void. Not showing up for a match results in a forfeit. (20 minute leeway)

**The challenged player picks the course, tees and format. Format choices include: stroke play or match play but no doubles/triples etc. of any kind. PDGA rules apply. If the challenger wins the round, the tags are exchanged.

**Ties are won by the holder of the lower bag tag at the beginning of the round. However, if ALL players agree before the round starts; a play-off hole(s) can be used as a tie-breaker using sudden death rules.

**You don't have to play back-to-back challenge rounds against the same player or in a multi-player match with the exact same opponents. A player can't challenge you, lose to you, and immediately challenge you again for another round. However, if ALL parties agree, consecutive round challenges are allowed. Challenges MUST be verbally agreed upon at the beginning of EACH round.

**Incomplete round: If a player does not complete a bag tag challenge round, the exiting player should trade tags with the player with the highest tag number. If play is stopped by all players before the round is complete, no tags are exchanged. This could be due to hazardous weather, physical emergency or mutual agreement.

**TOURNAMENTS/LEAGUES: All MUST participate in challenges at a tournament. No Match Play unless tournament is Match Play. (Handicapped leagues: play is straight up)


**Players using different tees in tournaments are competing against only other players using the same tee format..

My comment compliments many others (Rod, Rick, etc) - I play to play and have fun. Tags ARE NOT trophies. If you get your panties up in a wad over what tag number you are holding and leave it at home so nobody can challenge you for it ... well, that's your reputation and respect on the line. I also agree that tags at tournies are rather bogus because of the variance between Open and Advanced tees - unless otherwise announced before the tourney starts (ergo handing in your tag at the time of regi ... more

I delt with many of these issues while on the board for the San Diego Aces. We had to clearly define the rules and state them on the club website. They are simple such as everyone on your card is an automatic tag challenge (no need to declare challenge). Tournament rounds with others in different groups as optional and declared before the event. I'm really sad about where this is going. I don't like the segregation. In my opinion if you sign up for NUDGA you are a part of the club whether you live in Salt Lake, Heber, Texas or wherever. On the other hand I have no respect for someone who wins a low tag and refuses to play for it. I have seen that in Ogden area locals as well. No matter what happens you will still have those people, even if you start a local tag group you won't turn down someone who wants one. It just wouldn't be right. ... more

Chris you played advanced and showed up an hour late to the RPO, So what you talkin bout'? By the way I always thought tags were for TAG rounds, and every other competition i.e. tourneyleague was just that, a seperate competition. With no need of even involving tags. I never liked playing for tags on those occasions, seemed very arbitrary to me. Anyway just wanted to say hello and got involved in an argument. There is a huge storm coming my way. Everyone is panicking stores are empty and paranoia is rampant.... Hopefully we will survive SNOWMAGEDDON 2011
