Crap got sucked in again. Just a couple of things from someone that hasn’t played doubles for a long time. Starts to late, big groups, A players/B players = sandbaggers, Bride crap, too complicated, cost too much, people show up late and everyone waits for them, people show up late and just jump in assuming they are in, if it starts at 5:30 (which is too late) you should be teeing off at 5:30 or at least flipping discs, if you can’t be there by then, you’re out. Just a couple of things from someone that hasn’t played doubles for a long time.

Starts to late, big groups, A players/B players = sandbaggers, Bride crap, too complicated, cost too much, people show up late and everyone waits for them, people show up late and just jump in assuming they are in, if it starts at 5:30 (which is too late) you should be teeing off at 5:30 or at least flipping discs, if you can’t be there by then, you’re out. There shouldn’t be folks calling and saying they will be late and making everyone wait for them. That’s B.S. Just flip discs and go. If you are not there to flip discs, you’re out. You get who you get. If its 2 A players then its 2 A players together. I think you are waiting for folks trying to get more people in which is chasing the one’s that can make it on time, off. I know I don’t want to wait for the same Jackasses every week when I can make it on time, but I can only speak for myself.

My group last week was playing hole 18 at 6:30 and the doubles players were only on hole 3. Don’t know where they started but if they started at 5:30 everyone should have been at least close to the back nine by then. You can’t tell me it’s starting on time.

That’s all folks. Just an opinion. Sorry !!

Brady Boyter shot our course record in Pinedale with a six down on eighteen holes!! It sure was great having all you NUDGA's out here with me last weekend. I will be announcing our ace race soon. Hope to see every one here.

NUDGA's!!! Don't forget that July 23rd is the Soda Springs PDGA tournament. Austin is running it this year and says that he has sponsorship, the city is grooming the fairways for us, and there will be free lunch. Also, overnight camping will be available. The city still has to approve the camping but doesn't see why they wouldn't. Anyway. I will be there. This course is tough and fun and the trip will be well worth it.

Well all the league at riverpark will be starting on the 17 of july. i think that we will have a good time if we can get a decent amount of people out there to play so please come support!!!!

Sundays are good, vbut I worry that people will be out of town a lot. Also many of the tournaments would take up our league day. Maybe we would have a more consistant showing if it was durring the week.

throwing an idea around about running a league at riverpark on sunday around 5pm. . the idea would much like the league brandon runs up in bc (if you havent played the bc league you are missing out). we would play one round with ctps and an optional birdie and ace pot. 5 dollars to play 1 dollar for each ace and birdie pot. does this sound fun to any one else? does the time and cost work for everyone?

Major Props to my bro Rod. Now its time for him to enjoy tournaments without all the stress, but I can guarantee he will still be a big help to the td's that are running tournys if needed. I also think Brandon is an awesome replacement, He has done so much for disc golf in this area and we are lucky to have him here in Utah. I played in the first tournament he did at the fairgrounds and it was a blast.

I’m going to give Rod a done good on all of his tourney’s. Had a great time at all of them. Sad to see you resign but I understand completely. I have helped Rod on many occasions and will continue to assist any way I can with whomever steps up to take over. I have submitted the City special event permit that they require and would be happy to keep submitting them for any T.D.s . although they are not that difficult just a little time consuming. Someone will need to acquire the insurance requ ... more

Someone will need to acquire the insurance required by the permit from a company for non PDGA tournaments. I have a local company that will provide insurance but I don’t know what the cost is yet. I have the insurance form but have not submitted it to see what it would cost. They need dates and such that I don’t have. They did say if we could provide dates for the year it would be cheeper/less processing for them. PDGA insurance is $50. The city also requires $100 special event permit processing fee. It takes 21 days to process the permit. Don’t know what the fine is for not having the permit. Could be cheaper, who knows. If you don’t get a permit, you’re on your own. Everyone I have talked to at the City from secretaries up to the Mayor seem to be very happy with NUDGA, what we have done, and I would like to keep it that way. I would suggest that if we don’t get the permit, don’t hang signs for tournaments at Riverdale on the course.
