I'm thinking on having a BBQ at riverpark between the morning doubles and the tag match on Saturday the 6th of next month (not this weekend but the next). It will be bring your own stuff (drink, food, ect.). Let me know if your down so I know if I need to bring more than one grill.

Tournaments!! Well, I have a small little tournament called the Huktoberfest coming up. I got the Cache County Fairgrounds reserved from October 14th to the 15th. Here's the plan. Friday night will be a 27 hole night round tournament. The complete 18 hole course will be up from Friday morning till Saturday night. 9 holes will be used for the night round and you will be playing with the ghosts and the aliens and the strobe lights and the fog, etc. It will be 3 rounds of 9 holes and we wil ... more

Tournaments!! Well, I have a small little tournament called the Huktoberfest coming up. I got the Cache County Fairgrounds reserved from October 14th to the 15th. Here's the plan. Friday night will be a 27 hole night round tournament. The complete 18 hole course will be up from Friday morning till Saturday night. 9 holes will be used for the night round and you will be playing with the ghosts and the aliens and the strobe lights and the fog, etc. It will be 3 rounds of 9 holes and we will start playing around 7pm and stop playing around 11pm. Black Jax Sports will be on board for this event so everyone will be provided a night disc or AeroPod. I haven't worked everything out with them yet.

On Saturday will be the second part of Huktoberfest, a one day 36 hole PDGA C-Tier event on the temp course at the fairgrounds. I will get it sanctioned with the PDGA and have online pre-registration available by August 15th.

Camping and RVing are available right on the course. It is $22.50 per night to camp.

Here's the deal. I did this event for 5 years in Pocatello, Idaho and I got a TON of help up there and that is the only way we are going to be able to pull off a successful event. That means I need help with sponsorship, labor, and running the scorecards and registration. I need help on Friday and Saturday all day long. I need help with baskets. I have only two so we need 16 more.

Also, I am meeting with the Business Depot in Ogden tomorrow about getting an 18 hole course in there. It probably won't be til next year that its installed if its approved but we are moving in the right direction! I am not at liberty to say yet, but there is also another course in the works that will be a legitimate par 72 and a ton of fun. Caleb Wolfe and I are working on it. Big things are coming....

Gotta agree with Rick. One other thing that's just a personal opinion; doubles is not fun when 95% of the reason most people are there is money. Maybe I'm wrong, just seems like the goal is getting paid instead of having fun and getting to know people that you don't play with very often. Not that I can think of anything to change that, just saying.....
