I think it's a great idea! It's a free public park that anyone and everyone should be able to enjoy. It Should bring new faces to town, as well as the locals here who can't make it to sanctioned events out of town. More power to them. Also a great way to get the word out on how far the course has come along and spread the word for the fuller fall classic! See you all there! Let's represent MDGC properly!!

RISK ??...what risk we have a great course and a lot of
People who love to play it allready. im sure every event @ fuller
Will be bigger and better than the last ! No matter sanctioned or not.
Last Year PPDG put on Fuller Fall Classic and had maybe 15 players
I bet this year we have 30+

I say let's let the Vicious Circle club take the risk on the first sanctioned event at Fuller. Let's use this as an opportunity to expose our course to players who may not know about it. Later, when we hold sanctioned events, we'll have a pool of players that previously were untapped, and possibly even disinterested in traveling to Muscatine. As per the discussion during last weeks wet Dubs, I think it would be a great opportunity for the club, for the course and for the city.
We just need to find ways to publicize our club and course, and maybe find ways to make a little money to better the course further.

Hey guys, not sure we have an area other than here to post, but I wanted to see if anyone had any Leopards they would want to trade? I have a Champion Blizzard Boss that is not cooperating and would be willing to trade a nice Leopard disc for it. Let me know.

I will not be a singles tonight through August 23. I still encourage everyone to meet @ fuller every thursday at 6 to give players a chance to exchange tags. I would still love to post scores. Two options are available here. someone can either text me scores, or if someone wants to run it for a few weeks thats fine too, might allow someone to add there own ideas to maybe a fun round of golf. (maybe match play, etc.) either way that fine. i will be posting late scores today so check online tomorrow to make sure everything is correct!

I read some of the posts on the other forum. I can't make it to the course on Thursdays, due to work. I do keep an eye open and I think it's a good idea to patrol the course while we're playing. If we see garbage, pick it up. If sticks and brush are becoming a problem, take a few minutes and police the area. As for the trimming of weeds, and problem areas, I don't think any one person has to be present for a few guys to run weed trimmers. We just need to have the equipment available somehow, whether we have a checkout and return system, or some other arrangement.

We were talking about all the differenent talk tabs this last weekend. from now on i will only frequent this thread, as I encourage the rest of the club members to do as well. A few of us posted some longer more thought out and valuble opionons here, i would love to get more imput as well. However, let post to this thread from now on, so that we dont have to dig deep to find were people are talking.

the downfall of a sanctioned event? 90% of our members and people that might be interested in playing that are from muscatine dont have a PDGA card and would have to pay an additional 10 dollar non members fee to play. the high price to play might turn them away...on the plus side, ther would be a vendor on site with a variety of plastic and more names from out of town/state to see our fun course and its a great building block to seeing more C tier events at fuller, maybe even a B tier someday!
