Great job MOVDGC!!!
We had an awesome turnout today for the Cookout/Course Work/Glow Round.
Got a lot of stuff done and had a good time, the course looks great!
THANKS to everyone for getting involved and helping to make disc golf as good as it can be.

Heading out to play both courses at Ashland KY tomorrow with the family, then possibly a round at Indian Rock in Huntington with all of their new concrete tees completed. I won't make it to the doubles again this Sunday as we're all going up to Dover OH to play at Deis Hill.

Good work!

Put up a few more directional signs leading to some of the next tees yesterday. Had some trees where the signs are painted red or blue in the woods a couple of other existing arrows painted fluorescent orange for better visibility as well. I had to take one of these signs back home when I realized that I've put the wrong numbers on it. lol Made the changes to two of them & I'll try to get the rest of them set up next week after my tourney in Bowling Green.

I'll be there for a round tomorrow after 2pm. Expect it to be nice outside tomorrow in the mid 60's.

Huntington WV's Ice Bowl coming up this Saturday. Anyone else planning to play in this Ice Bowl from the area?
Scott has the scorecard from yesterday's doubles. He should be posting it in our weekly doubles soon.

I talked to Mike Buchanan about ordering new tags for next year, should be ready to go in Jan. :)
John Buck December 5, 2008 at 3:45pm
I've got #4 tag now. Haven't been able to get a low-numbered tag all year seeing that I've been unable to make it to every single points series this year. lol
Scott VanMeter November 30, 2008 at 12:17pm
The Bagtag challenge ended on Nov. 29 with the 5 lowest tags to show up for the Turkey Toss rewarded with prizes.
#15 Mark Hunter - $12
#14 John Buck - $20
#4 Adam Sams - $24
#2 Gabe Oldaker - $40
#1 Scott VanMeter - $64
I'm just wondering how many of you from the Parkersburg/Vienna, WV and Belpre/Marietta, WV area are interested in having a weekly doubles at the Mountwood Park? I'm just wondering how many of you from the Parkersburg/Vienna, WV and Belpre/Marietta, WV area are interested in having a weekly doubles at the Mountwood Park?
The reason why I'm sending everyone this message is to gauge interest and wanted to see if that event could be revived. We used to have that doubles regularly for years & it used to have a great turnout considering the location. It's how I've met a lot of my current friends AND it helped improve my game as well as others who used to play frequently.
I believe that it used to cost just $3 or $4 to play and depending on the number of players, the winner & runner up will receive the cash. 3rd place & so on if there's more players. In the past, it took place on Mondays at 5pm which was great for most of us considering that majority of the players don't get out of work until after 3pm.
Just let me know which days and what time would be the best for you and I'll take all that into consideration & go with the majority. To make things fair, we'd like to try and even things up as much as possible so that everyone has an equal chance to win by splitting into Group A (Open/Advanced and experienced players) and Group B (Intermediate/Recreational and novice players).
Please pass this on or forward this message to anyone you know from the Parkersburg WV and surrounding areas.
