If you would like to earn a Berth to be able to play in our State Championship on Labor Day weekend in Ludington:
All of the Featured Events (FE) are listed here: http://test.mdgo.org/wp/state-schedule/
And here: http://test.mdgo.org/wp/mdgo-berths/
Or, you can take your chances and earn one at one of your local clubs who may have requested them.
Or, you can roll the dice at the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) in Ludington on September 2, 2016:

I have a few extra Beast mini's if anyone is looking for them.
I am looking for a Wildwood mini myself.
I also know a few people looking for some of the other Feature Event series minis.
If anyone has any of the FE series mini's they would like to get rid of, please post them up here.
Thank you!

I was wondering if the mdgo still gives baskets for a new course? If so how would I go about getting said baskets.

Man that's awesome of you guys, keep up the great work.

Scott Aikens   November 30, 2016 at 9:42am

I have been contacted by a school in Grand Ledge asking about the Plant-A-Basket program. Is it still offering this great deal for new courses?

Yes, use the link above.

Great planning and execution in Ludington last week. From my vantage point - the "B-Tier" does not convey the high status designation the event deserves. While there may be some cashe' with a two-day, 7 course, 440 player B tier event, there is probably some other criteria that keeps the event at "B". I've done a few A-tiers but did not get curious about the official distinctions until I was "rocked" by the A++ experience I had at State's. Should I consult the PDGA manual etc., or have a talk with my knowlegable friends in Grand Rapids?

Hi Fred, we debated the B / A Tier designation last Fall and decided to remain a B Tier on purpose for a variety of reasons. All A Tier dates, although the hosting club can propose dates, are mandated by the PDGA so we may not get the Labor Day weekend we all wanted. A Tiers, to sanction the event, ... more
