PDGC Fundraiser At Play It Again Sports
Play It Again Sports is teaming up with Painesville Disc Golf to hold another fundraiser for a day at the store in Mayfield. The date has been set for Saturday, March 12th from 10am to 7pm. Make sure you put that date on your calendar so you can help us raise money to make Painesville the first 18 hole disc golf course in Lake County! Please pass this on to other disc golfers and those that don’t play as all purchases made on March 12th will benefit the course. Thanks for your help!

What Discs Are You Looking For? & Save The Date!
Play It Again Sports is teaming up with Painesville Disc Golf to hold another fundraiser for a day at the store in Mayfield. The date has been set for Saturday, March 12th from 10am to 7pm. Make sure you put that date on your calendar so you can help us raise money to make Painesville the first 18 hole disc golf course in Lake County! In the meantime, we could use some feedback from you to make this event a huge success. Please reply to this post and let us know what discs(s) you are looking to buy in the future. List the disc manufacturer, model, weight range, and color (if you have a preference). We will compile a list of all the requested discs and submit them to Play It Again Sports in time for them to place an order at the end of February. The discs should arrive in time for the fundraising event in March. This way you will be helping a business and a disc golf course all at the same time. Not to mention you will get what you want as well! Please pass this on to other disc golfers and those that don’t play as all purchases made on March 12th will benefit the course. I am looking for sponsors to help with donations for prizes and raffle items to help raise some funds to help some of our own out. If you have any ideas or contacts that you think could help, please let me know. The first event will be September 13th to help raise money for Mike Broda. Both events will have 100% of proceeds going right to each individual, and this will include entry fees and any other monies raised during the events, with things like raffles, 50/50, and anything else we come up with. Please keep an eye out here and on facebook for more info and spread the word to help support those who really need it.

I am contacting any disc golf company I can think of. So far MVP has committed to send something. I'm also going to reach out to some sellers and goods manufacturers like Keen and Grip. We could use help with local business donations for each if you have any ideas on your part of town. I'm working with some east side locals to do just this. Disc golf retailers, restaurants, whatever. I have a typed letter if anybody needs it to help show this is legit. Just let me know and I can email it to whoever needs it.

we may have an opportunity to have disc golf pro and legend Scott Stokely to host a clinic and scrambles at Sims Park Disc Golf Course on 7/27/15. The clinic would run 5-6:15, with scrambles starting at 6:30. There would be a $12 fee for entry that will include the clinic and the scramble. The scramble will be paid out in discs supplied by Fly High Discs, who sponsors Scott. I would like some feedback on this before committing. Thoughts??

This event is pre-pay only, so don't miss out!! registration closes on 6/13 and the event is on 6/27. $30 gets you your players pack and some other goodies. We are looking for both experienced and those that have never installed a course before to help. The main duties included mixing and pouring concrete as the City of Painesville will be digging holes for us with an auger. We will also need someone to help mak ... more

Help Needed For Painesville Course Install!
As this gets posted, equipment for the course is starting to roll in. It's a very exciting time for Painesville Disc Golf! That being said, we are in need of help for the course install. We are looking for both experienced and those that have never installed a course before to help. The main duties included mixing and pouring concrete as the City of Painesville will be digging holes for us with an auger. We will also need someone to help make sure the installed baskets are level and at the correct height. The work dates have not been assigned yet, but we are looking to start sometime around the week of June 22nd. Saturday's are the most likely days for the install, but we will not rule out evenings during the week if that works better for most.
