With all 18 tee pads in, we want to invite you out to The Pond in Painesville to give it a test drive! All we ask is you re-evaluate our course grade and update your review. If you haven't reviewed the course yet, now is a good time to do so! We will be moving two more baskets, but everything should be all set to go by 8/28. Thanks in advance for your evaluations!

It's August 1st and we finally have a green light to proceed with the tee pad installation at The Pond in Painesville Recreation Park! Currently our contractor has a backlog of work and will not be able to start until mid-August. In order to make way for this project to continue, there are a few baskets and tee locations that will need to be moved. I will give details on that later, but what we really need now is some guys who are willing to help out and see this project through. Most o ... more

Currently our contractor has a backlog of work and will not be able to start until mid-August. In order to make way for this project to continue, there are a few baskets and tee locations that will need to be moved. I will give details on that later, but what we really need now is some guys who are willing to help out and see this project through. Most of us work during the week which makes moving these things difficult. Since we don't want to limit our manpower, we are having Painesville City Park dig the new basket holes and all we will need to do is dig up the old ones (four total) and move them to their new locations (with concrete in tact) and spread some more concrete over top and around the base. We are looking to do this on Saturday's and Sunday's. If you are willing to help, please let us know what Saturday's and Sunday's you are open to help in August. Also let us know if you have shovels and or wheel barrows you can bring to help make the move. We are almost done with the course and look forward to working together to complete it! In little over a month away there is a going to be a wonderful day of discgolf 2 rounds of 18 holes at Tomlinson Run State Park. Players pack includes A disc, hat, t-shirt,mini, and stickers. Lunch is available and provided by Country Corner Store. Trophies to the top 3 Am division winners. So come out enjoy the day with every one. ( Secret: We have double chocolate cookies!!!! :) )

Just got exciting news, Osborne will be re-done soon. Judean called and I am meeting her this Mon. or Tues for final walkthrough of new layout! Sounds like they are going to do tees sooner than later! The OZ will return!

Due to the course not being ready we will not be running our Apr - Aug handicap league. I'm hoping to get a scramble started in the following weeks with a new layout and a temp basket.

Not sure if anyone saw the article in the news herald but startimg next week they are taking bids for a parking lot expansion and for putting in a walkpath around the park due to be completed by October 2016, this means if you haven't played here in a while you better come out soon as they are pulling the baskets!!!!!! The Dynamic Discs Two Disc Challenge is becoming a very popular event and we are excited to bring it to the Painesville, OH area! For either $20, $22 or $25, players receive their choice of ANY TWO DISCS from the Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, or Westside Discs disc line. Players will then take the two discs they pick out and play the entire course with only the two discs they pick. At the end of the day we will award prizes to the top finishers in each division. 18 Hole Course Grand Openings Set For Painesville Disc Golf!
We have tentatively set the grand openings of the newly expanded 18 hole course. Tuesday, July 26 at 4pm will be the grand opening for Painesville City. Saturday, July 30th at 10am for the entire disc golf community. During these dates there will be a course dedication, acknowledgement of sponsors, and open disc golf. Please join us for one of those dates as we celebrate the first 18 hole disc golf course opening in Lake County!

Registration for the 2016 MVP Circuit Event will close 2 weeks from today on May 18th! Be sure to pre-register if you want in on the action!! Also, any extras that would be ordered must be submitted and paid for on this same day. We have 3 divisions for 20 bucs, this will help put us over the top to complete the final 9 holes. We will be throwing that day in memory of Willie Wilson, and dedicating the new hole 7 to his memory. We will have a raffle afterwards for MVP disc, 4 sets of 2, Avery Jenkins signed disc 2, and a Grip A-14 Bag so far. If you would like to donate disc or other prizes to help the cause ... more

don't forget about the Blizzard at Oz (Lives On) Ice Bowl this Sunday at Osborne Park!! the tradition lives on, without the ice this year, as temps will be in the 50's!! details can be found using the link below. $30 / team, food donation for a mulligan (per person), and $5 for side game entries for CTPs and the Ring of Fire for the Discatcher Basket. come on out and help us raise some food and funds for the Willoughby Food Pantry!!
