Hey everyone! We here at Knollwood are trying to raise money for merchandise to sell for our cleanup and improvement efforts. Follow the link at the bottom of this message for a full description, a short video presentation, and the opportunity to either donate, or share my message with others.
I have just heard that the director of the City of Kalamazoo Parks department has resigned, so we have a new opportunity to truly change the image of Knollwood.

Dont forget Aug 24 is the deadline to register for the State Championship. After that date your berth will no longer be honored. Remind your friends.

Nathan- The K'Aces leagues are Tuesdays at Oshtemo and Thursdays at Cold Brook. It is a singles league and you play against your average, so you are not competing head to head against good players. Tons of prizes each week, ace pool, and lots of fun. The two biggest leagues in town for a reason.

So, I am pretty new to the "serious" disc golfing scene. I am trying to look into joining a league. I am definitely an amateur but I am wondering if someone could help me with this. Thanks!

Lost purple aviator prescription sunglasses in a black hard case last Thursday. A new disc reward for their safe return. Thanks

Don't worry about fools like Fred, Larry, Those of us whom know and love all of the work you have done for the sport still respect and appreciate what you do for all of the people of Southwest Michigan. And to Fred, I've met plenty of people from Albion that have no complaints, apparently, someone like you is only happy when trying to make others miserable. Like Larry said, if you had such a problem with prices, you could have walked away, this is a free society where you have a choice of where to do business. Otherwise, shut your mouth and mind your manners and if you want to point fingers and be disrespectful, at least be enough of a man to do so in person.

Fred - You make no sense. If you spent all this money to buy discs and didn't like the price then why did you buy them? Why didn't you say something then, instead of ****ing a year later on discussion boards? If you didn't like the deal then don't buy. I'm out there at least once a month. I have had fliers for all my events out there with both my e-mail and phone number. You couldn't contact me earlier in a more respectful way if this has been something that h ... more

I have had fliers for all my events out there with both my e-mail and phone number. You couldn't contact me earlier in a more respectful way if this has been something that has been bugging you? From what you are saying I charged you for an extra mini, which I sell for $2 each. So are you pissed off about $2?? Seriously!
The course was designed by me. The College paid for the baskets, because I was teaching a disc golf class for them. The City agreed to install the course and help fund the expense for the tees. I personally helped with building the tees, installing the baskets, and some minor branch removal. The '08 Worlds (which I was the Tournament Director of) gave the City $1,000 to help with expense of the course. The course would not exist if it wasn't for me! So don't act like you own it, because you live in Albion and play there. The City is who owns it, not you. Also, I pay the City money to have my tournament there. There is a fee for reserving the park, which I have paid every year. Not to mention Albion businesses do well to have my tournament there as the players go get their lunches from town.
From what I have seen from you on the scene, you are not representing Albion well. If it is a "Smart Community" then you should leave, because you are dragging that down.

I met Larry for the first time at Coldbrook and seems to be a really nice guy. Thanks Larry for putting on a really fun league. Seems like its just one bad apple.
