Worlds Meeting

We are having an open meeting for the 2015 Amateur World Championship this Sunday at 6pm at the Holiday Inn West. It won't be a long meeting. We mainly want to see who is interested in helping out and to get started on a couple of projects. If you are interested in being part of this event please try and attend. End of Winter League

Next week is the last week of Winter League at Oshtemo! Double points, no pre-shooting, and you will be grouped for the round according to your standings. Also keep in mind the Ace Pool will be close to $400!!! The payout is going to be 40 deep!! If anyone is owed any CTP prizes, you need to come out and claim it or have someone do it for you or loose it! If you can't make it and are owed your membership hoodie or you think that you are going to place, please have someone claim it for you.

League Finals and Awards

Just a reminder about the end of the summer leagues. The final round for the Tuesday, Oshtemo League will be Tuesday the 25th. That will be the double points round. There is no pre-shooting that round and you have to play with another league member that night. The final round for the Thursday, Cold Brook League will be Saturday the 29th at 9am!! Everyone will be paired up for that round according to the standings. Again, no pre-shooting that round. Awards for both league will be the 29th ... more

Awards for both league will be the 29th at Cold Brook Park after the potluck lunch (bring a dish to pass!!). Lunch should start sometime after noon (actually after the double points round is over). After the awards is high/low average doubles for any ace pool money and there is a glow round at dark for $5/person. There will be 100% cash payback for the glow round!

Oshtemo League members can play the Cold Brook finals round if they want too. The $5 dues does apply. Non-members can play as well, except for the high/low doubles (they can play along, just not for the money).

Grand Prize throw offs for the weekly winners of the Discraft, Disc Golf Association, Innova, Qualifier, and Shortest Drive prizes will happen during the potluck lunch. You must be there to throw. No substitutes!

The Cold Brook League will happen on the 27th.

Any unclaimed CTP/LP prizes will be forfeit after the awards on the 29th. Prizes and Membership Items will be available until next May (unless the membership shirts sell out during the winter), then they will be forfeit. So, if you or someone you know needs to claim anything then either do so, have someone do it for you, or contact me to make some kind of arrangement.

Membership Discs

Discs are in!! All summer league members can pick up their discs (you must be paid up). We have 2 stamps this year!! Jason McFadden has done the Discraft Stamp and Josh Deiters has done the stamp on Innova. You will want both:)

Angry Squirrel

The Angry Squirrel is this weekend in Albion, MI at Victory Park. It is a B-tier with a split format. Registration is available through the scene. Amateurs who pre-register get a second disc in their player's package!

Oshtemo Winter League

There are only a couple of weeks left for league. We have this coming Sunday, then a week off for the Cracked Plastic Classic, then the final league day. That final day will be for double points and we will be grouped according to standings. Awards and the ace pool throw off (if needed) will be shortly after everyone is finished with their round. There is no pre-shooting of the final league round!!

The meeting we will discus the summer and winter leagues, tournaments, and the area courses. I would like to get everyone's opinion on whatever they are concerned about. Things could be on changes to courses, the format of the league, membership items, new tournaments, or new league merchandise. Oshtemo Winter League

Winter league starts next week (Sunday) at Oshtemo Township Park. 10:00am start time. Please get there early to sign up. Membership is only $20 and $5/week dues. Lots of CTP's as always. Last day of Leagues

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day for the Oshtemo League. It will be double points and there is no pre-shooting the round or playing alone. Saturday morning (9:00am) is the final double points round for the Thursday Cold Brook League (we still play this Thursday) at Cold Brook. Keep in mind that there is no pre-shooting this round either. We need everyone that is playing the Saturday morning round there by 9 so we can set groups for the round. We group everyone according to the standings in the league. So the top 4 players in the league will be shooting together. Oshtemo members don't need to be there for the round, but are more then welcome to do so even if you haven't played in the Cold Brook league at all. Non-members can also play. League dues do apply for the double points rounds.

After the morning round we will have a potluck lunch and the throw-offs for the CTP Grand Prizes. So bring a dish to pass and BYOB. Also if you have won the Discraft, Innova Champion, Disc Golf Association (DGA), Qualifier, and/or the shortest drive at either the Oshtemo or Cold Brook league you are in the Grand Prize throw offs. You must be there to throw, no substitutions. We will be doing these during lunch.

After the throw offs we will do awards for both leagues. Any unclaimed CTP prizes will be forfeit at this point. Anyone that needs one can make arrangements with me or please have someone else claim it. If you can't be there for the awards, please try and have someone claim you discs for you (tell them what you would like). If you need to, you can make arrangements with me to get your prizes at a later date.

After awards we will play high/low doubles. Highest average is paired with the lowest average and we play for what is left in the Ace Pool or for $100, which ever is greater. Sorry, this is members only for this round. There is no fee to play in this round.

Finally we will be doing a glow round at dark. There is no set format for this. Everyone who is there will determine what we will be playing (doubles, singles, ....) and if it for any money. The league will be covering the cost of glow sticks for all 24 holes and the park fee for doing the glow round. Non-members are welcome to play.

There are no set times for anything other then the 9:00am start time. Please try and be there early, so we can get started ASAP. I expect the morning round to be done around noon. So if you are not coming for the morning round I would be there before noon, especially if you are in a throw off. The times for everything is dependent on when everything else finishes up. I hope to see everyone there this weekend. It should be a great time. Lots of baskets and discs are being given away!!

League Shirts

Shirts should be in for league on Thursday. Please be caught up with your dues to get one. Also, keep in mind that if you want a tie dye it will cost $5 extra to get, so bring the extra $5 if you want a dye. Solid shirts are no cost for paid up members.

Oshtemo Glow Round

We are doing a glow round tomorrow at Oshtemo. The cost is $5/person and we will be playing best shot doubles on the course lit up with glow sticks. We will get started shortly after league!

Cold Brook Glow Round

We are doing a glow round at Cold Brook this Thursday after league, (7-21-11). The cost is $5/person and will be draw doubles. The payout will be 100% of the money collected. The league will cover the cost of glow sticks for the course and all park fees. Take Friday off!!
