Last day to get in your Q-rounds! Let me know what rounds were played so I can put them in and get the final composite scores tabulated.
Travis Bailey March 9, 2013 at 12:17am
Anyone interested in a round at Tuttle at 11 tomorrow? Anyone who doesn't have all of their Q rounds done. I'd like to get out there and play. Let me know!
Ben Nispel March 6, 2013 at 1:00am
So regardless of whether I make the team or not I'm planning on going on the STL trip, I believe Mitch, Tim and AJ are all also game. My girlfriend is going to tag along as well so I'm willing to drive and plan on leaving Sunday evening after spending some time in the city. Who else is planning on going/whats you gameplan for the weekend? The St. Louis Travelodge has rooms with 2 queen beds for $50 a night just a couple miles from the course.

Club Meeting | Thursday, March 7th, 6 PM | Bring $20 for a limited edition K-State powercat disc to help raise funds to send our disc golf squad to St. Louis!

**Qualifying Round** Wednesday, March 6th at Tuttle Creek. Hit me up for a possible car pool. Especially if you have a State Park tag. Tee off around 3 PM
Travis Bailey March 4, 2013 at 3:51pm
Just realized that I won't be able to make the tournament in St. Louis and want to wish you guys good luck on your qualifying and at the event. Rep KSU well and play for the team. Keep that team idea in mind when the final four guys are chosen.
Josh Carroll February 27, 2013 at 1:06am
Possible Q-Round tomorrow afternoon if anybody's free. Hit me up! 2:30 PM tee off or so, any course.

Alright everyone, Josh and I have finally figured out what we need to do for fundraising. We have written up a general letter for you to take to businesses and have decided that we would like to raise at least $500. The way we are going to do this is by asking businesses for a minimum of a $50 donation to secure their companies logo on the back of our team t-shirts. We will obviously accept more or less than $50, but do let those who donate less than $50 know that they will not be on the t-shirt ... more

We will obviously accept more or less than $50, but do let those who donate less than $50 know that they will not be on the t-shirts. Josh thinks that we should group up into teams of two and I too believe this would be a great idea because its always easier when you are not the only person on the spot in front of a potential sponsor. If however you want to get donations on your own, more power to you. If 10 of us each get just 1 $50 donation, then that is our $500 goal and we are set to go to this tournament for free!!!! lol. Here is a link to the letter in two different formats and a picture of the potential t-shirt design. Make sure to be professional and represent ksudgc and disc golf in general in a positive way.
I will get in touch with a t-shirt company and let everyone know when they need to have the company logos into josh or I so they will have plenty of time to print up the t-shirts.

Is anyone else worried about not finishing all 6 rounds? This darn snow has ruined everything. Haha
I need one more at Tuttle, and was wanting two more at Fairmont. The only day that I can play really is Friday. Anyone interested in at least two rounds some time after Noon? Let me know!
Ben Nispel February 22, 2013 at 2:52pm
Anyone want to get a round in at fairmount and build snow mountain?!

These are great questions to consider. I'll try to address each of these, but I am open to bringing these to vote if they group would like to discuss them further. (1) If a player is unable to complete all 9 rounds, he may still be eligible to qualify as long as he has posted six total scores, two at Fairmont, two at Warner, and two at Tuttle. If anything, he is limiting his opportunity to score lower in a third round. But in the case of a tiebreaker, the tie will go to the player who ... more
These are great questions to consider.
But in the case of a tiebreaker, the tie will go to the player who demonstrated fuller participation by completing the 9 tryout rounds and/or attending more K-State League rounds.
(2) Considering we are trying to compete against other schools that are also vying for a chance to qualify for Nationals, I feel that it is in the club's best interest to send the players that exhibit the best scoring ability. Again, tiebreakers will go to the player that has demonstrated more participation in club functions.
(3) Ideally, yes tryout rounds need to played and witnessed by fellow K-State club members. However, I understand that scheduling a round and trying to find people that are free can be challenging for some people. It would be best if players can schedule Q-rounds when other K-State players are going to be present/competing. But special allowances may be made for players who are scrambling to fit in tryout rounds. In the event that a Q-round is played with non-club members, in addition to acquiring signatures of the witnesses, I will need a direct testimony from the witnesses via DiscGolfScene/email/phone call to confirm the score in question.
Travis Bailey February 16, 2013 at 8:33pm
Some questions that have come up about Q-Rounds:
If we are unable to play all 9 rounds, what is the penalty, if there is one?
Is score the only determining factor for who goes? Not club participation, choosing what would be pairs for the team round wisely?
Can scores be called into question if it wasn't played with other K-State players?
Travis Bailey February 14, 2013 at 1:32pm
Anyone up for Tuttle or Warner tomorrow after noon? I'm free after 10am. Willing to play both.
I need to redeem my 66 from yesterday. Haha
Mitchell Brenn February 14, 2013 at 12:57pm
I'm wanting to do a Q round today at any of the courses. Anyone else available today?
Josh Carroll February 13, 2013 at 10:50am

Kevin Weber February 12, 2013 at 11:20am
Anyone want to get in a qualifier this afternoon? I am free most of the day if anyone is going out.
Travis Bailey February 11, 2013 at 12:12pm
Hey. I made a Facebook page for the group. This way we can keep track of photos and current/past members easier.
Josh, I'd like if you could type something up for the INFO section. I BS'd one, but it could use something more formal.
Mitchell, I'm not sure how you are keeping track of money, but we can add ads to generate a tiny chunk of change for the clubs accounts.
If anyone has some graphic design experience, it would be awesome if you could make a cover photo for the page.
Check it out and let me know what I can do to improve it?
Josh Carroll February 11, 2013 at 11:15am
Hey everybody, I'd like to get in a Q-round this Wednesday if anybody's free. 3:00 PM at either Fairmont or Warner
