I agree with the voting. Although I would be fine with still doing rounds but we don't have much time anymore and the courses will be pretty awful. But if you think about it, Iowas courses probably will be pretty snowy/muddy as well (maybe not by the time the tournament is though)

Just to point out, however, the recogntion on jerseys is pretty much out of the question at this point. We got the $100 from Discs Unlimited so I told them that I'd put their logo on the backside. The "Bronze" level sponsorship of $25 would still be acceptable.

They haven't gotten back to me since my last contact with them. And since they are not a registered licensee of K-State, we would have to work through a lot of legal minutia to make it happen. The Graphic Edge is licensed with K-State and provides a lot of great options to choose from.

I dont know if it is possible or not, but i really like the idea of a polo and not a t-shirt. Much more professional looking and you can always use it for other high level tournaments that require a polo.

I too liked the idea of a polo, definitely would look classier. I also looked into embroidered jackets :P Might be something to look into if people would agree to pay for them out of pocket and put together an order. Were you expecting the prices to be more expensive or less expensive than they are?

Just out of pure curiosity, isn't it kind of weird to have numbers for disc golf?

It's something the NCDGC is trying to implement, especially for Nationals. DiscGolfPlanet.TV covers the event and in the past, players had to pin on a competition number (similar to track or cross country runners). So I think they're trying to get teams to put numbers on their jerseys so that it's easier to identify you as a player.

Numbers on polos aren't that bad, but I agree a dry fit would be the best idea. And solid color gets my vote. We don't want to go over the top.

Polos are my choice, if we can get them with numbers and it not be weird. Also, I can go get a solid color polo from walmart for $8 and they want like $35 lol. Idk if it'll be possible, but there are dry fit polos too.

I vote just the cheapest one, solid purple. then you can just wear it around casually for different things, like working out or just to wear.

I'm definitely agreeing with whatever the cheapest option is (solid color). Also I'd prefer a dry fit shirt over a polo, but if I'm out numbered then I'm not apposed to a polo.

I personally hate wearing anything buy shorts and a tee shirt when I play, so having a collar probably wouldn't be fun either. Dry fit polos are nice but are incredibly expensive. Definitely should go the cheapest route. It's dumb and a waste of club money to do anything else.

It sounds like the A4-Cooling Performance Tee is the garment of choice. Just got a quote back including the cost for personalized names and numbers. Looking at $16.49 per shirt. With a minimum order of 12, we would be about 3 shirts shirt with the 9 guys I am counting on the active roster. Should I tell him we will go ahead and order 3 additional jerseys with blank backs at the 7.99 price?

I figured the lunches were supposed to pay for themselves. Say I end up spending $40 on lunches, the club reimburses me the $40 I spend. But if we're doing $4 lunch tickets and 15 people eat lunch, that's $60 (net gain of $20). But if you would still like to bring it to a vote on Thursday night at the club meeting, we can do that as well.

As I understood it, the new series of tryout rounds that we voted on needed to be completed to be considered for the upcoming tournament. From what I can recall, most of those in favor said that we had enough time to complete 1 round at each course only needing one team member witness.

For those that are unaware, a new opportunity has come up in that Iowa State is hosting a qualifier tournament in Ames, IA. There has been some discussion of whether to drop the Austin, TX qualifier in favor of the Ames, IA qualifier.
