Saginaw Bay Area - Surrounding Courses

The parks and groundskeepers would be thrilled if all leagues and players refrained from and encouraged others from getting out on the swampy holes until a time when the courses are really dry enough and fit for play. And then soon afterwards, join in, adopt your favorite course and get with the park contacts, find out their needs and put in a day volunteering to get the courses spruced back into shape for su ... more

whoops

Just like an artist that recognizes pictures better than the written word, I made a MISTAKE and posted the wrong address for the meeting about the Bay City disc golf course. If anyone drove to the incorrect address, I owe you a free round of disc golf, call me. Luke Goss is the contact for the course project - on dgscene http://www.discgolfscene.com/profile/22878

Freeland, Saginaw, Midland BAY CITY disc golfers - LOOK

please read this article and comments and then leave your own comment. Searching through MLive's Bay City Edition over the past 4 days will show you two other articles relating to this new course project in Bay City. LOCAL DISC GOLFERS, show some unity here, Bay City may end up with a course at Blizzard Hills, Bay City State Recreation Area or even another yet to be determined suitable parcel.

Ace Race

Anyone who would like to pay for their ace race registration is welcome to due so now. I would like to get as many out of the way before that morning, due to the amount of people showing up. If you can't don't worry about it. I would just like to get a jump on it, because a lot of time that morning may have to dedicated to explaining rules to all the newbies. This should be our biggest year yet!

I cant tell you what and where the new holes will be, even though i have a good idea. but we are taking our time and will not make anything solid until it's the best it can be. You can however, go and check out the alternate pads for 15 and 16. This afternoon Curt McGill and i laid the ground work for both holes. 16 is playable. 15 needs a tree removed but you can still sneak a couple shots ... more

Thanks to those that make this work!

We have had, in my eyes an awesome year so far! The tournament was a blast and we had so much help that we couldn't have gotten by without. Big thanks to all of our supporting clubs for your ctp's and help!
Also a big thanks to our local buisnesses for the awesome ctp's. The park looked amazing and that was about 90% tittabawassee parks department's doing. They really busted their humps for us this year. We still have a couple months of warm weather and fun so get out there and enjoy it!

Summer's about here... Time to Grill!

The days are getting longer and it's about time to start grilling out! I would like to continue our tradition of grilling this year and keep it going for a long time. We will be cooking out the last Wednesday of the month for the rest of our season. I would love to have a couple volunteers to assist with prep and cooking throughout the year, so give me a shout if you wouldn't mind flippin' some burgers. With all the new players, this is a great way to get to know each other and bring us closer as a club. See you out there!

would anyone like to help at Blizzard Hills ?

This coming weekend (17th & 18th) is a WORK WEEKEND at Blizzard Hills. We have a group of Boy Scouts volunteering on the course and camping for the weekend. The hopes and plans are to complete the final trimming and cutting on holes 10 through 15, with MAJOR attention to hole 14. This will be the best opportunity we have had to involve the community and get many hands working towards the goal of completing all 18 holes. As far as I know now, we will probably be there Saturday by 9:30AM and stay ... more
