Disc golf continues to grow exponentially but under the mainstream radar… This lifestyle sport has everything to do with landscape design, culture and leisure recreation for an increasingly urban world… Anyone interested in this subject should check out this 2013 MLA thesis from Cal Poly Pomona: Disc Golf Course Design: Inscribing Lifestyle into Underutilized Landscapes, for the short, cold months ahead:

A few things: 1. The restrooms were closed last weekend due to a broken water line. It was unfortunate, but that's what happened. 2. The best date, according to Ben from the Parks Department, for a tournament in October is probably going to be the 25th. The youth and rec soccer programs will be done or almost done by then, and we'll have a lot fewer non-participants near the course. 3. I'm leaning toward a BYOP doubles event for the 25th consisting of one round of best shot and one of wor ... more

Sounds fun, not to mention may be a good way to get my son home for the weekend! I think you could count us in.

Bret Stopher    August 18 at 3:28pm

Wish I had know this earlier, played 36 over lunch with my nephew!

Nick Witter   August 18 at 4:17pm

You picked a good day because it looks like rain the majority of the rest of the week. That's why I am trying to rally some folks to play today.

Nick Witter    August 18 at 2:19pm

I am looking to play around 6 tonight if anyone is interested!

Benjamin Wonders    August 16 at 7:40pm

Thank you to everyone who helped out with, participated in, or even just gave a kind thought to the Trilogy Challenge today. Without the guys in this club pulling together, the event would have been cancelled last week. Scott McCullough brought in quite a few people, designed and printed the scorecards, and won so nobody else would have to. Brian Taylor laid out the extra holes and supplied two of the baskets for them, adjusted the baskets on 2 and 9, trimmed some rogue branches, furnished th ... more

Well said Ben! Again, a big thanks to you as well. It was a very well planned event, and I believe we will have many more! As for Scott..... I firmly believe we need to say a prayer MORE for the fact that he will have MANY more challenges coming his way than ever before! I did not do great today, but it was so much fun I didn't even care. GREAT JOB BEN!!

Benjamin Wonders   August 16 at 11:13pm

Thank you.

Benjamin Wonders    August 14 at 10:00pm

If anyone would be willing to show up, I'd like to do a quick run-through of the course tomorrow evening and pick up some of the trash that people have elected to leave lying around. 6:00 or so. Shouldn't take very long if there are a few of us. Bring a container of some sort to collect the junk. It would be great if we can get the majority of the empty bottles and cans removed and present the best face possible.

Nick Witter   August 15 at 12:45am

I will bring red spray paint as well if you need it for the tee pads

Benjamin Wonders   August 15 at 8:01am

John Ryan   August 15 at 9:26am

I may be out depending on my wife's schedule today

Shawn Lawhorn    August 10 at 7:25pm

I am playing a round on Thursday from the long tees. If anyone would like to join me I will prob be there at 6:00pm.

Benjamin Wonders    August 7 at 10:30am

Playing again tonight, I think. 6:00.

Benjamin Wonders    August 6 at 5:04pm

Going to be in the park teaching a friend to play. If you want to join us, come out at 6:00 tonight.

Benjamin Wonders    August 3 at 9:04pm

Not to jump the gun, but if anyone has ideas for the next event we host, I'm all ears. I'd like to do something on a regular basis. Ideas that require little to no upfront money are great, as they should be much easier to get off the ground.

John Broering    August 3 at 3:27pm

Anybody want to throw around the next three mornings between 8-11 hit me up
