I just updated the scores from last night's league event. Let me know if you see any errors, so I can get them fixed ASAP.

New to discgolfscene.com ? Or just frustrated because you think you have to click all over the place to see what you're looking for?
Try clicking on the "NEWS" button IN THE BROWN BAND along the top of this site. It is not generic news. It is news tailor made for you, based on what & who YOU "follow" on this site. It pulls all that information together, in chronological order, helping you find info you care about much quicker.
Give it a try! http://www.discgolfscene.com/news

If you missed out on registering for the Monkey Island Open, I'll be hosting my third annual Spring Invitational tournament in Hutchinson on Saturday, March 22nd. Two rounds at Carey Park featuring an alternate tourney layout for Round 1 and standard layout for Round 2. Dynamic Discs custom stamp discs in player's pack plus a large selection from Discs Unlimited.

Adam Johnson    March 17, 2014 at 10:51pm

I'm going to lead a innova factory order. Right now Mitchell and Allan are wanting to order. If we get to $75 then we will get free shipping. If we get 5 F2 discs then 10% off F2 discs and if we get 10 then 20% off F2 discs. Innova has several of their new gstar plastic discs up for grabs including several F2 molds. They have some sweet limited edition discus including climo terns, brinster birds, mcbeth aviars and roc3, and flat top gators. Message or text me what you would like to add to the order. THANKS! http://proshop.innovadiscs.com/

Travis Bailey   March 18, 2014 at 6:41pm

Darn, I would really join if I could pay in a month. Haha. So much plastic on there I'm wanting to buy!

Mitchell Frederickson    March 17, 2014 at 10:39pm

Jacob Strait    March 17, 2014 at 1:42pm

Anyone up for playing today?

Alan Fox    March 15, 2014 at 9:58pm

I want to thank all that came to Tuttle today! We had 13 people and $130 towards baskets... Thad Pultz showed and donated $10 so brings the grand total to $280... Marched by Tuttle we have raised $560 towards new baskets! Thanks to all for your support!

Jacob Patchen   March 16, 2014 at 5:15pm

I want one of them gators! Let me know when a big order is happening

Travis Bailey   March 21, 2014 at 1:58pm

Jacob, I got a Gator in the order Adam placed. Did you get in on it? Haha

Mark Kewley    March 15, 2014 at 8:22pm

Some people asked today about where to find local tournaments. This is a good place to start:

Kevin Zane   March 16, 2014 at 10:47am

kcfdc.org has a list of all the KC area tournaments as well as many other surrounding events... The KC mini series offers end of the season prizes for each division based on your top finishes in the series (I think they average your top 3 or 4 so you don't have to play them all).

Jacob Strait    March 15, 2014 at 11:09am

Moon lake around noon today anyone?

Austin Cranston   March 15, 2014 at 2:03pm

Still going?

Rick Petrie    March 14, 2014 at 11:50pm

My apologies for just now getting Wednesday night's league results posted.
I've been knee deep helping at the 2A State Basketball Tournament (in Bramlage). It's almost as much fun as disc golf. Ha!

Mitchell Frederickson    March 14, 2014 at 10:35pm

I think I lost my white destroyer at Warner this week. Not sure if it has my name on it but it is a pre Avery destroyer weighing 175 grams. I will pay a finders fee! Thanks!

Rick Petrie    March 14, 2014 at 3:10pm

Please allow me to provide some insight to everyone. As discussed in our DFOK Meetings time & time again (in addition to other topics) DFOK is trying to establish a consistent & clear theme of what is "DFOK News" (on the News tab), plus what is the DFOK club officially helping host or promote? This is an ongoing topic that unfortunately has LCM caught in the middle of. But rest assured, LCM is in no way the focus. Everyone should feel free to use the "Talk" tab ... more

Kevin RevKev Clark    March 13, 2014 at 2:25pm

DFOK is becoming increasingly difficult to deal with, and I am not sure that I will have any permission to share information about upcoming LCM tournaments on DFOK's discgolfscene page. So please encourage all discgolfers you know of who may be interested in participating in "Break The Chains" or any other upcoming LCM tournaments to please join the LCM club on Discgolfscene so that I can share information about upcoming tournaments.

Kevin RevKev Clark    March 13, 2014 at 2:12pm

Just to be clear... DFOK is NOT in any way affiliated with the Break The Chains tournament.

Kevin RevKev Clark    March 13, 2014 at 12:17pm

Break the Chains registration is now open at: KSULCM.ORG. The first 60 players to register and pay will receive a custom stamped tournament disc. Open players may choose to pay for the tourney only or to pay for the tourney and a player's pack for an extra fee.

Sign up soon! Let's see if we can break our record registration from the 2014 Ice Bowl!

Kevin RevKev Clark    March 12, 2014 at 5:54pm

Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind you that the 4th Annual "Break The Chains" Disc Golf Tournament is coming up on Saturday, April 12th. The registration page is glitching out right now, but it will be up and running soon. I will re-post when online registration is ready. In the meantime, you can check out the flyer at KSULCM.ORG. We have decided for the first time at an LCM tournament to offer cash prizes for the Open division, so this should be an added incentive for you to try playing OPEN.

Rick Petrie    March 12, 2014 at 5:15pm

Riley County commissioner, Dave Lewis, thanked DFOK again yesterday on KMAN Radio.
If you want to listen, click on the 4th segment found on the following link below.

Mark Kewley   March 12, 2014 at 10:38pm

Good find Rick. I know a bunch of DFOKers donated a lot of time and $ on this. It's nice to get some love on the radio.

Rick Petrie   March 12, 2014 at 11:49pm

Thanks. Plus, good publicity like this should help our chances of expanding Warner Park & other cool projects in the future. (at least in theory)

Rick Petrie    March 12, 2014 at 4:18pm

I just had to look this up... Wind speeds for "Manhattan" from Sunday & Tuesday (as per the National Weather Service).
SUNDAY: Highest Wind Speed = 26mph, Highest Wind Gust = 34mph
TUESDAY: Highest Wind Speed = 31mph, Highest Wind Gust = 42mph

Alan Fox   March 12, 2014 at 9:28am

that seems bout accurate if not higher lol

Rick Petrie   March 12, 2014 at 4:15pm

I don't know for sure where this weather station is located... I agree that the winds at Tuttle could have been even stronger than in the NOAA reports.
