Hey everyone! If you haven't already heard, the K-State disc golf team earned a bid for the 2014 National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships held in April. In order to finance the tournament expenses, the club has arranged to order fundraiser t-shirts. You may reserve a t-shirt now by making a contribution of $15. T-shirts will only be guaranteed to those that reserve a shirt prior to placing the order. Thanks!
Here is the sample design: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0dgJ-mhNBbyODlpYnRLMmc2ZFk/edit?usp=sharing

Here is your chance to have some input on our 2014 "Break the Chains" tournament discs. I will be placing the order tomorrow... Friday, March 7th. We are ordering Innova discs this year, but can also order Discmania discs. We will only be able to order 3 or 4 models because of quantity requirements. So, let me know what Innova or Discmania discs you would like to see. Let me know in the next 24 hours....

More tee sign post are going in at Fairmont as I type!
They're looking pretty awesome so far... if I do say so myself.

Also of note, this week is the last Sunday DFOK league event for the "Winter Points Season"!
For those of you who didn't remember, we play the Bag Tag & Points leagues on Wednesday nights for the spring & summer months.

Meeting Reminder: Tonight at the Manhattan Public Library.
Can't make it by the start time? No problem. Better late than not at all.

Today's Winter Weather Warning has been downgraded to an Advisory.
However, I do not plan to "un-cancel" today's league events because of the dangerously cold temperatures. The predicted high temp. for today is 7 degrees... and the National Weather Service is saying "Wind chills will range from Negative 10 to Negative 20 degrees".
If you have strong points why today's league should be "un-canceled", please post them here ASAP.

Winter Storm Warning for Sunday = No League SUNDAY (as per official league rules). See league rules or DFOK News for more information.

Has anyone heard anything about a 2014 Little Apple Open?
Mitchell Frederickson February 25 at 11:02am
Can someone please post the info for the upcoming tournament to raise money for new baskets. I think there was two or thee events? Not really sure?

For anyone who wants to help set-up on Saturday Morning (Feb 22nd), here's the basics. Arrive around 9:15am to help set-up some folding tables, a couple portable tents, and a few other miscellaneous items. We will need to be set-up & ready for the non-playing visitors by 10:30am. (Rev. Kev. may also need some help, however he'll highly trained LCM students by his side). Considering we are expecting a lot of non-players at this event, the usual practice area will only be used to entertain those people and/or teach them about disc golf (rather than us practicing). With that in mind, players will be directed to practice behind the LCM tournament HQ (north side). There's plenty of space there for a couple temporary practice baskets.

If you head to Fairmont Park during the work day on Friday please do not park in disc golf parking lot, especially if you see large equipment working on the parking lot. Thanks.

Disc golf is blowing up my phone, computer & schedule... and I like it!
But it's almost game time, so I'll be off the grid for a while tonight... and you'll probably like that. (Ha!)
