BTW, the Little Apple Open tournament director for Dynamic Discs (Smitty) posted at 2:45pm today that there's only 25 spots left!
I have my doubts it will fill, but I wouldn't want to find out the hard way...

Rick Petrie   May 17 at 7:48pm

Looking like it might fill after all. Well done everyone!

Rick Petrie    May 15 at 12:56am

Shout out to Mitchell Frederickson for helping with the final scoring / tag check-out at tonight's DFOK Bag Tag & Points League event. The more people we have willing to help out on league night, the better. For the people, by the people...
By the way, I won't be posting tonight's league scores until sometime tomorrow.

Rick Petrie    May 15 at 12:51am

Shout out to Alan Fox for helping move baskets at Warner Park tonight. If you want to play Warner at it's toughest, check it out with it's current layout (except #4). We wanted to have the course set-up as tough as possible with so many disc golfers coming into town this weekend (just in case any of them want to play our other courses).

nick samuelson    May 13 at 8:31am

Jon, Are you thinking of playing in the Lawrence tourney?

Jon Tveite   May 14 at 10:36am

I probably won't. I'd be more tempted if they offered an "Advanced Masters" division.

Josh Carroll   May 14 at 10:44am

Usually if you let the TD know that you'd like to play in (Blank) division, they'll open up a spot for it as long as there are at least three that sign up for that division. I noticed they're offering Adv. Grandmasters, seems like they ought to be receptive to Adv. Masters.

Lost discs:
Blue metal flake with red print LCM Break the Chains edition Firebird - not yet labled. Lost Monday the 5th of May, hole 6 Werner Park. Hard hyzer high up into the trees.

White with dark Dynamic Discs print Buzzz - labled with name/number. Lost today, hole 8 Werner Park. Anti-hyzered into the woods left of the pin.
Appreciate any help with locating these!

Awesome, Fox!! I would much like to have that one back lol. Appreciate it man, I'll be at league tonight. I'll get it from you there

Bonnie Samuelson   May 14 at 1:53pm

Of course Foxy found them!! Doesn't he live at whatever course he may be playing that day?

Eric Weeden   May 17 at 8:50am

Well, he found one of them,... still missing the buzzz

Rick Petrie    May 11 at 8:41pm

DD RV Sighting: My sister-in-law saw one of the DD RV's in the Manhattan Taco Bell / Wendy's area. I suspect they are passing through on their way back from Beatrice, NE. I'm curious to hear if any of you saw them checking out one of our local courses?

Rick Petrie    May 11 at 12:45pm

Happy Mothers Day out there to all you disc golf moms.

Bonnie Samuelson   May 12 at 2:28pm

Thank Rick!! Nick and the kids made it the best!!

Alan Fox    May 9 at 1:16pm

Ju reminder tomorrow at 10am at Tuttle we are going to play a round for discs. Put a disc in the pile and the place you finish in is the order you get to select a disc out of the pile. For example first place gets first pick last place gets last pick. After the round we will be having disc trades, sell discs and buy discs. Aldo if enough show up we will play around of doubles or triples! Hope to see a lot of people there. Also I may a couple discs up for raffle and a donation box towards new baskets for Tuttle. See you tomorrow!

Amber J   May 10 at 12:01am

Heads up - two families are CAMPING about 30' from basket 12. They looked very confused when we played through tonight.

Dustin Harrison   May 10 at 3:24am

Dustin Harrison   May 10 at 3:30am

Rick Petrie    May 8 at 6:58pm

Just in case any of you missed it, the Little Apple Open is coming up FAST!
As usual, it will be hosted by Dynamic Discs at the Tuttle Creek State Park River Pond Course.
The date for this year's event is SUNDAY, MAY 18TH.

You can register on the Dynamic Discs web-site... ( http://www.dynamicdiscs.com/disc-golf-tournaments/2014/little-apple-open.html )

nick samuelson    May 7 at 2:56pm

so I got to witness to aces yesterday marks at doubles and then I go home and Bonnie hits one in WestY on hole 8

Alan Fox    May 5 at 10:13pm

Saturday at 10am at Tuttle we will play a round for discs! Each player will put a DISC in the pot to be up for grabs! Person who places best gets first pick of a disc of his or her choice second gets his pick and so on and last place would get the last disc available! So everyone comes with a disc and leaves with one! Then whoever wants to we will have a SWAP MEET aka trading and/or selling discs! Let me know if your interested! BTW be a good time to practice for the little apple open coming up!

Alan Fox   May 7 at 8:16am

Sweet I told some people at Doubles last night and seemed to have gotten some more interest in it as well

Rick Petrie   May 8 at 6:51pm

Sounds like fun. However, I'll have to miss it because this Saturday has been booked solid for me for a while.

Alan Fox    May 5 at 9:58pm

Rick Petrie    May 4 at 9:15pm

Cool to hang out with so many DFOKers at the 2014 GBO. Tournament rounds, watching the pros, the block party & other events.
It was especially cool to see so many MORE of us playing in it than at my last GBO (2012).
Disc golf in the Manhattan area is still growing strong & the right people are noticing!

Eric Weeden   May 5 at 5:48pm

Wish I could have been there,... but had a scheduling conflict with my National Guard obligation :X Hopefully next year!! Glad you guys all had fun!

Rick Petrie    April 30 at 10:12pm

Hey you dirty dozen DFOKers playing in the GBO, our FRIDAY TEE TIMES are now been published.

Rick Petrie   April 30 at 10:14pm

By that I mean us 12 players... not to be confused with the Dirty Dozen Tour... ha!

Rick Petrie    April 30 at 1:39pm

Adam Johnson    April 19 at 11:37am

Anyone want to get in a disc golf round this afternoon?

Rick Petrie   April 19 at 12:26pm

I'd love to, but I've got in-laws visiting this weekend plus today is Stephanie's birthday. At best, I'll be giving the in-laws a mini tour of the new Fairmont.

Rick Petrie    April 16 at 1:25pm

The weather man just said we can expect a high of 70 today.
I'm not sure if he meant temperature or wind speed. (ha)

Rick Petrie    April 14 at 9:22pm

I know this is not disc golf related, but it is about a cool looking round thing in the sky.
Watch the moon tonight as it passes by because there's going to be a total lunar eclipse... nicknamed a "Blood Moon".
Hopefully it looks pretty cool at some point in the process.

Rick Petrie   April 14 at 9:30pm

Apparently the impressive part is going to start around 1am here in the Central Time Zone.

Eric Weeden   April 15 at 8:33pm

Was amazing, Got to watch it over my lunch break around 2:30 am. The eclipse was ending, but was still really awesome to see.
