I will be unavailable until sometime Sunday morning. I might be up for the BRO league or other options Sunday afternoon.

I should be ok with any of the options you guys have had for Nebraska.

Regarding the Nebraska trip, I'm waiting to hear back from Ike & Daisuke too. They are checking their calendars & thinking it over.

Hey everyone,

BTW, today is the day of Fall Equinox. Because of the earth's gravitational pull today, I've heard that you can stand a disc golf driver up on its edge.

Give it a try & let my know how it goes.

Looks like I likely won't be able to play the shunga tourney so Saturday the 1st of October, or the 14th (frIday) would work for Nebraska. If neither of those work for you guys, I may have to sit this one out.

I'll see if I can manage to get one of those days off and I'll try to let you know really soon. I'd really like to go, but weekends are going to be tough to get out of for a while.

Would a Sunday work better for you, Kevin?

I probably won't play in the Mighty Shunga this year. Maybe some other time.

I don't think I can make the 15th work for me, but don't worry about it... I'll find some day to make it over there.
Is anyone planning on playing the mighty shunga on the 1st and 2nd? It would be nice to be able to carpool to save on 2 days of gas to and from Topeka. I'm still undecided, but would love to make it out there.

October 15th would be all right with me, but so would a Sunday, or possibly a Friday.

The first time I could go on a Saturday Nebraska trip would be Saturday, Oct. 15th. That is unless we went on a Sunday or a weekday trip (use some vacation time on a Friday?).

I'll only be out there until about 4 or so but I plan on getting to Topeka around 8. I'm hitching a ride with Lisa, so I don't really have a say in what time I go.

Hmmm... The Big Shunga is very tempting. I love playing that temp. course when it is set up.

So.... the Big Shunga course is up. If anyone is interested, I'll be out there again on Friday.

No tee pads yet, but they hope that is still coming. The tees are pretty well marked with two wooden stakes and day-glo ribbons with the hole number written on them.

Did they put tee pads in?

I went to Riley yesterday, and they have now moved all the baskets to their new permanent spots. #1 is in the trees 360' straight down the path, #4 is way left in a little gap in the trees (about 225' from the tee), and the new #9, #10, and #11 all have their baskets now (and they are all tough 3's at 502', 266' uphill, and 402' respectively). They have nice new maps with all the distances. If you are interested in these developments, make plans to play next week ... more

It's a little late in the day, since they start at 4pm now, but I'm thinking of going to Riley today. Give me a call at 785-313-0345 if you wan to ride along. I'll be heading out around 3:30.

Does anyone have a Zone that they would be willing to trade for/ sell?

Lost a blue Break the Chains disc (red stamp) on Hole #1 at Warner today. Thinking it may have gotten caught in the trees just to the right of the trail. Phone number is written on the bottom of the disc. Thanks!

Josh,
Warner Park is an 81 acre park, with the current 9 hole course only using about 10 acres of the park. There's a lot of room to the west, with a variety of geography to offer.

The general plan at this point is to tack on the next nine holes after the current hole #5, heading in the west direction (generally speaking). Then looping back heading east by finishing play on the current #6, #7, #8 & #9 (which will be changed to #15, #16, #17, #18 after the expansion).

There will b ... more

I won't come on Aug 2 to the City Hall, but I have forwarded the notice to my fellow disc golfers who haven't come to the league yet but are interested in having a full 18 hole course at Warner.
