The logo looks good.

Adam Johnson    March 30, 2012 at 9:22am

I really like that logo becaue it is simple and definetly shows that the shirts reprsents disc golf.

Great advice, Zane! Maki and I are fortunate to have a wide open field right next to our backyard. Immediately after we moved here, we bought a DGA portable basket. Whenever I have time, I take it out, do some putting practice and approaches, and do an ACE race (the number of participant = 1 or 2).

Rick and I have been moving forward with options for DFOK shirts. Here is an idea that I like for a logo:
If you have a good logo idea please submit now.

I second this advice. The only thing I would add is to only practice putt for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. Any more than that and it is difficult to stay focus and you don't want to practice unfocused putting. Easy way to develop lazy habits. Also like Zane pointed out, just make putts. Doesn't matter how far out, just make putts. While my putting is far from perfect I have taken huge strides simply by being more consistent from 25 feet and in.

**Disclaimer** This is not intended to be "preachy" or anything of that nature. I just care so deeply for all of my fellow DFOKers and enjoy seeing all of you improve as players. Living in the land of super technical "unfairways" has taught me that being able to crush distance drivers isn't worth crap 90% of the time. I have been doing a great putting drill that I thought I'd share with you all. I've been doing it for a couple weeks and my putting confiden ... more

Yes, after many request & discussions, a bunch of DFOKers are going in on buying shirts for ourselves. STYLE: We are looking at short sleeved polo style shirts (that have a collar) with three buttons on the front. They are also of the style that has accent colored stripes/panels, which are common in today's golf shirts. In other words, they should look cool, feel cool & most importantly be comfortable enough to wear while playing disc golf. COLOR: We want to keep the color opt ... more

They are polos. I'm sure Rick will chime in and post a link to the actual shirt options.

Kevin Zane    March 28, 2012 at 10:50pm

I am still interested and will cast my vote for the "classic" look. Are these going to be on a polo or on a shirt like the one in the pic? I would really prefer not to have one of those zipper-style collars like in the pic, they get really itchy when its hot and the zippers are usually really crappy in my experience.

Mark Kewley    March 28, 2012 at 10:41pm

Let's talk about shirts... Like Rick said tonight at league, some of us have been talking about having some performance / dri fit polos made with DKOK logos. It looks like this can happen for under $30 a shirt. There is about a 2 week turnaround so we are ready to order ASAP with so many tournaments coming up. The people I have spoken with seem to like the "classic" DFOK logo http://www.discgolfscene.com/profile/10252/pictures/album_7907/138412#138412 We are open to any n ... more

Good luck to team DFOK in Hutch http://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/2012_Spring_Invitational
I want to go but need to catch up on things at home this weekend. I might be interested in something in Manhattan at some point though.

Rick Petrie    March 20, 2012 at 12:03am

Check these out! I might even know where you can buy them locally...

Rick Petrie    March 18, 2012 at 12:33pm

It is looking like I am going to be meeting Bill & a friend of his (that's never played before) at Tuttle at 12:45ish today. Hard to predict what format we will play, probably very casual though... feel free to join us.

I just got signed up for the Discs Unlimited Open, which will be played on March 31st. I can't wait!

Click here to see a list of who all has pre-registered thus far.

Mark Kewley    March 13, 2012 at 10:14pm

Thanks to Ross for talking RevKev into doing a deep payout. I could still go to Banana Tuesday at Ray's on 3rd place.

Mark Kewley    March 13, 2012 at 10:10pm

It was worth losing the playoff at doubles just getting to see Arica put one in the basket on a 186' CTP!

Mark Kewley    March 13, 2012 at 8:23am

I signed up for DUO last night. http://kansasdiscgolf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4175
This is a fun tournament.

Rick Petrie    March 13, 2012 at 12:21am

Mark, Here are my thoughts. - It is my opinion that 100% of last year's Tuttle Tuesday Ace Fund (which was not won by anyone) should be spent on the Tuttle Creek course. I think this still fits in with your idea of using it for course improvement... after all, aren't the baskets at Tuttle in the most desperate need among the amenities at our three Manhattan courses? - Regarding officially forming a "Club", I think we should hold a few brainstorming meetings very soon to s ... more
