Warner would be great. I'm not sure what time I will show up, but I am more than happy to help you Rick. Also we should plant a few bush, trees, etc. on Hole#8 to restore the hole.

For whatever it's worth, I plan to go rotate the baskets at Warner Park after work today (approximately. 5:15). After all, it is the top of the month.
No I'm not going to play, just rotate baskets.
Don't feel like you have to play Warner... just thought you would want to know (and maybe help for a minute). No sweat though if I don't see you guys there.

I don't really care where. I just want to get out and play... If the baskets are back at Tuttle, I would love to play there but I'm okay with anywhere.

Anyone willing to brave the heat for a round this afternoon (after 4)?

I'm not speaking for all the DFOK members, just myself. I will not be heading up any plans of hosting a Ace Race. I am already seeing two Ace Race events on the calendar in Kansas so I might attend one of them.
Call me lazy, but I suppose it's a side effect of hosting a weekly league thang.

Jon, Nice of you to point out the Sunflower State Games to everyone. I meant to say something at the Warner Wednesday premeeting, but we had a really hectic start to the evening, so I forgot. The Sunflower State Games hosts a really fun amateur disc golf event every year. I have played in it for a few years and now really look forward to it every year. It's a lot of fun to play our sport knowing that it's part of something much bigger. Mark Kewley and I are signed up to compete in the 4 ... more

Mark Kewley and I are signed up to compete in the 40+ year old doubles event on that Saturday. Plus, I know some other DFOK members are signed up to play in other divisions. It would really cool if we get some DFOK members in every division... or better yet winning some medals in every division.

Some of us have been talking about playing in the Sunflower State Games. I thought people might be interested in checking out the link: http://www.sunflowergames.com/disc-golf
The disc golf rounds are at Crestview in Topeka, on July 9th (doubles) and 10th (singles). It's $25 for one event and $35 to play in both. If you don't register by July 1 (this Friday), you can still do it at the event on the day of play, but it's an extra $5 per event.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I am currently in Kansas City but will be in Manhattan during the school year attending Kansas State. I was wondering if there was a chance that this club would run a Discraft Ace Race somewhere in Manhattan (probably tuttle being 18 holes) I have no experience directing a tournament and thought maybe this club was thinking about directing an ace race http://discgolfacerace.com/ I think it would be a great time and the price is great, and I know 5-10 guys that would love to participate.
Daisuke Takahashi June 14, 2011 at 1:09pm
I might play tonight (from 7ish) but not outside of Manhattan. I went to Brown memorial park in Abilene last Saturday, but because there were many super-annoying bugs, mosquitoes and small flies, I just came back to Warner after only 9 hole round there. This is for your info.
Kevin Zane June 14, 2011 at 12:57pm
Anyone not busy/working today? I think I'm going to check out the course in Abilene or play somewhere outside of Manhattan today if anyone is interested in a casual round (or a tag challenge!)
Mark Kewley June 13, 2011 at 10:58pm
The baskets are still up at the lake today. Fences are kind of fun.
(785) 539-7941 park office will tell you if baskets have been pulled.
Mark Kewley June 7, 2011 at 10:55pm
Thad brought it to our attention tonight at doubles that Tulp won the Doo Dah!

I'm following the new league Talk page ( http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/2011-2012_Flint_Hills_Bag_Tag_League/talk ) Hopefully others will be before too long.
I am sorry to say that I am done playing for the day. This morning I played tour guide at Warner Park for a visiting player from Kansas City. So I'm going to spend the rest of the day getting other kinds of things done.
Kevin Zane June 5, 2011 at 3:40pm
Not sure that anyone is currently following the bag tag league discussion on here... Anyway, i'm leaving work around 4:30 and am dying to get out and put these new discs on trial. Anyone interested in a round?
Mark Kewley May 25, 2011 at 5:50pm
From the looks of the radar, it should be ok. I should be there about 5:15.
Kevin Zane May 25, 2011 at 5:24pm
I'd play Fairmont if anyone goes at 5. A little rain should be no biggie as long as it isn't pouring. Give me a heads up and I'll head out there.
Mark Kewley May 25, 2011 at 3:09pm
I might go to Fairmont if the rain isn't that bad at 5:00. I'm not going to try Warner.
