I will not be able to make it on the DU and Herington disc play.

By the way, about an hour ago Alex w/ Discs Unlimited replied to my text regarding 9am.
He said "Ya well be here. Cya tomorrow."

I am a no go for DG this weekend. I've got a lot of junk on my to do list that I've been putting off for a while, like taxes, tire shopping, & other real fun stuff.

Does anyone have a KC Pro or a Champion Whippet I might be able to toss around?... I am looking to possibly try some out, but would really like to try out a couple so I know what I'm looking for (or if they'll work out for me)

I want to play but my back seems to not like the weather either. I will probably be off the grid till next weekend.
Adam Johnson February 10, 2012 at 5:17pm
Based on the weather tomorrow and the not a lot of response I think I will wait and play BRO league on sunday. 10 degree warmer and 10 mph less seems like more fun.
Daisuke Takahashi February 10, 2012 at 2:49pm
I, myself, really want to play, but seems like my back doesn't want in this chilly condition. Hope next time we will.

I might be down for a morning round on Saturday but would have to head home by around 1 or so.
Adam Johnson February 9, 2012 at 10:00pm
Anyone interested in a doubles round at tuttle saturday afternoon?
Josh Carroll February 2, 2012 at 6:36pm
May have left behind a Warlock putter (orange-yellow) at Fairmont yesterday. Likely to be lying around Hole 9 basket. Has my name and phone number on the underside. Thanks!

Ahhh yes, a "Circuit Saturday". I will play in them as often as possible. What is that? When finishing up getting the first nine of Warner done, that is a phrase that a few of us coined to describe playing all three of Manhattan's courses in one day. Never heard that phase? Probably not. We were nowhere near as connected to each other back then, nor did we play many Circuit Saturdays... It was difficult to find a date everybody could do... Also, not too long after that we decided that ... more

Anyhoo... count me in for a few, but i think it would be wise to avoid these upcoming disc golf dates.
March 24 - Josh Carrol's Hutch tourney
march 31 - Dennis' Discs Unlimited - Herrington tourney
April 13-15 DD's Glass Blown - Emporia tourney
April 28-29 The Rock - Salina Tourney
May 19 Super Nice Guy / DD's Little Apple Tourney

Doubles would be a great way to do the Manhattan rounds and I like the idea of splitting into morning and afternoon rounds to help more people get involved. I'm thinking the first sat in april to go to Emporia ( a good chance for guys to get ready for the Glass blown that want to go.) Then we can plan from there on where to go in May. Other options of place that have several courses in KC, Salina, Topeka, Lawrence and maybe wichita. We could even combine towns like Lawrence and Topeka and get a round or two in each town.
Daisuke Takahashi January 31, 2012 at 9:17pm
>Adam, I think that's a good suggestion (although I need to be completely recovered to make all three courses rounds...). As for the Manhattan park rounds, I think it might be good if we play in two time zone, one starts in the morning and another in the afternoon, like two 9 hole courses (Warner and Fairmont) in the morning and Tuttle 18 in the afternoon or whatever. In that way, players who cannot make all rounds will be able to play one of them, at least. Kansas city, Emporia, Salina would be my candidates for trip locations in KS (MO).

Adam, I like your idea about extended disc golf outings on the weekends. I'm wanting to play a few more tournaments than I did last year but also want to go on some casual road trips. The three Manhattan parks in a day would be fun too. Could do it as a doubles league?
Kevin Zane January 31, 2012 at 1:36pm
...haha. Not sure how that happened. Tuttle at 2 is fine.
