I'am thankful for all the friends I have made while playing disc golf. I'am thankful I was able to play at Carey park this morning with my dad. He is thankful he bought me a golden retriever and that I was able to save his disc today.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I'm thankful for the Disc Fanatics of Kansas and the rich community of disc golfers in Manhattan. Cheers!

> > > SAPPY ALERT < < <

On this Thanksgiving Day I would like to give thanks to the following:
All the new friends & acquaintances I've made through disc golf.
All the ways disc golf has made me become a better person.
All the sights & sounds I would have never experienced without disc golf.
All the great things we've done for our local community through disc golf.
The potential for even greater things we can do for our community through disc golf.

My buddy lost a sky blue blizzard disc just now on hope 9 at warner. It was a flick that went awry. If you find it please let me lnow. The name on it is Jon Wallace. Thanks!

Gotta get out & throw today? If so, be sure to come to the first round of the DFOK Winter Points Season.

Tee Time is at 1:30pm so be sure to get there plenty early to get signed in & warm up before 1:30pm.

Hey guys, I have talked to a couple of you about coming to Manhattan and it looks like Tuesday is going to work out the best for us. I don't want to exclude anyone so If anyone is interested in coming along, or trying to play in KC any time during the week let me know. I'm sure I'll be playing somewhere almost every day through the weekend while I'm in town.

Austin Cranston    November 12, 2012 at 11:33am

I also have an idea of who leaves that stuff lying around

I have an idea who leaves Gateway stuff lying around.

While visiting family, I grabbed some beacons for night golf at the disc golf shop. I will have a few extra at the next glow round.

Adam Johnson    November 11, 2012 at 12:46pm

Target at 1240

Rick Petrie    November 11, 2012 at 12:17pm

Adam, I'm thinking about it. Where you meeting in Manhattan and at what time?

Austin Cranston    November 11, 2012 at 11:18am

I think I might be in another car pool but if that doesn't work out I gotchu Adam

Adam Johnson    November 11, 2012 at 11:07am

Sorry for the late notice but I look outside and see high winds and cold temps and just have to play discgolf. Anyone want to join me in a carpool to bro league?

Robert Adams    November 11, 2012 at 9:47am

BRO league today starts at 1330 @ Moon Lake! Hope to see everyone there! I'm bringing a few CTP prizes for some added fun.

Rick Petrie    November 10, 2012 at 12:52pm

Yep, that is the plan. While discussing it in our DFOK spring meetings, we wanted our schedule to allow breaks for people to play in the Ft. League too...
Regarding times, since that's your league. You guys can set the start time at whatever you want. It is tempting to start later than 1:30, but starting much later than that makes for some post-sunset finishes...

Travis Bailey    November 10, 2012 at 10:19am

I lost my flashlight out at Fairmont last night. It's a black small LED one. If you played and happen to pick it up, mind returning it?

Tom Lowman    November 9, 2012 at 12:52pm

I was just going to contact you about the winter points season alternate weekends. We will host the 2nd and 4th Sundays like last year if that works for you guys. We will also go with 1330 unless there is a group consensus to shift.

Rick Petrie    November 9, 2012 at 12:06pm

I should also mention that the Winter Points Season scheduled events will take place on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month just like the previous two years.
This will then leave the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month for the Ft. Riley League to work with... if they wish.

Rick Petrie    November 9, 2012 at 10:09am

No.The Winter Points League at Warner will always be at 1:30pm on Sunday's.
Any times shown in there other than1:30 are errors. I will get those corrected on the site tonight...

Sorry for the misinformation.

Wish I could go to Tuttle. Enjoy the day.
