Just so everyone knows this weekend at tuttle we set our lights out for night golf Friday and left them out to play again Saturday and I had 5 of my flashlights stolen off the baskets and a few of the milk jugs were destroyed. Just a heads up in case other people had this idea pick your lights up each night

Anyone going to the DU open this weekend? If so, any idea when it will end? I'm super interested in going, but need to be home on Sunday by 6:00. Thanks!

after some heated discussion......the lions club decided to fund seven more baskets tonight and 3 additional sleeves which will give us five alternates now. Hopefully everything will be finished by the end of april with a three weeks to practice before the tournament.

For those of you eagerly awaiting Points League and Bag Tag league updates, I will not be able to post them tonight.
I will get everything up to day either tomorrow night, or Friday afternoon. Also, I will do my best to make sure this does not become the norm.

Fairmont expansion project... advisory. I went out Monday and unfortunately met one of our neighbors. I had my dog (on a leash) and rick happened to drive by. I went and said hi and we were talking. My dog bolted and the leash was pulled out of my hand. She went straight to my brother who then picked up the leash. Anyway the neighbor saw this and yelled from his front porch to get my dog on a leash and that this was not a dog park. He used some more colorful words to tell me this but that ... more

Anyway at this time it is really important to have good relations with the neighbors to make it easier for the county to choose disc golf in this park. Please have your dog on a leash if you go out to show the neighbors that disc golfers want to respect the park rules. Thanks!

Attention Points League Players:
Please be sure to let me know which division you wish to compete in for this new Spring Season. This includes if you simply want to stay in the same division as you were in for the Winter Season. I still need to know your decisions.

Shout out to the following DFOK members for all their hard work at today's Fairmont Park work day.
If you missed today's workday, don't worry, there will be many more workdays in the future.
Rick Petrie March 17, 2013 at 9:17am
Good Morning Everyone!
Reminder: Today is the first WORKDAY of the Fairmont Disc Golf Course expansion project.
Today's focus will be to do some basic clean-up of a specific wooded fairway area so as to get a better look at what we have to work with in there. This is sure to be the coolest "before & after" part of the course expansion project so don't miss out on a chance to help & see it change before our very eyes.
Sunday March 17
10:00am -thru - Mid-Afternoon
(Come & go as you can. Any amount of time will be helpful)
See you there!

Hey Everyone, I don't have permission to create a "new" DFOK league on Disc Golf Scene, so that is why you don't see 2013 Manhattan Area Discgolf Doubles on the DFOK page. The 2013 Doubles League DOES exist though! We started last night with 15 players! The scores are already posted. Currently the 2013 Manhattan Area Discgolf Doubles is listed as an LCM event on Disc Golf Scene, but it is not really and LCM event.

Hey everyone! I'll be bringing some K-State discs to Warner Wednesday. We're trying to get rid of all our inventory, so bring $20 and get yourself a Powercat custom stamped disc (Polaris LS or Astra). Funds will be used to support our squad who will be traveling to St. Louis this weekend for the Gateway Collegiate Classic to try and qualify for the 2013 NCDGC!

We are asking the Lions Club on Monday to buy 7 more baskets...which will get us to 18!!
Mark Kewley March 9, 2013 at 7:01pm
Since it turned into a nice afternoon, I went to Fairmont. I picked up an unmarked disc. Describe it and I'll get it back to you.

Is there no Little Apple Open this year? I looked around a bit and couldn't find any info.

2012-2013 Glow League wrap-up It was a good ending to the season tonight. The wind calmed down and it was pretty nice out there. We played from basket to basket the first time around, then safari holes picked by the pad owner. The flashlight in the milk jug luminaries were a success. The initial batteries are still going after 10 rounds! I’m going to donate the items I bought. I need to talk with others that supplied equipment to see if they want reimbursed. The players ... more

It was a good ending to the season tonight.
The players at the last glow round decided extra luminary funds should go to start a DFOK “club treasury” to sponsor a hole at Fairmont or otherwise.
If you played in glow league and have objections to this let me know.
