Thanks to everyone for coming down and to the weather for holding out....kinda with the exception of the wind. Hopefully we will be able to make it a 2 day event next year like crispin proposed!

Ok, some of the pictures may have changed now after last nights storm....the park lost a large tree right in front of 6's new tee box on the other side of the creek and some large branches on the park side. People are saying we had 80 - 100 mph winds.

It was mega windy east of Manhattan last night. A 20' ornamental tree of mine got blown over, including (shallow) roots. Plus a 40'-50' tree of my neighbors got cracked off at the base & came crashing down... I'm curious to see how Fairmont weathered the storm...

Adam Johnson   May 19, 2013 at 4:20pm

i only saw a few branches down on the main course.

Rick Petrie   May 19, 2013 at 4:59pm

Whew! Those are the fragile ones that always concern me. Thanks for the report.

Damen W    May 18, 2013 at 9:52pm

on the new course pictures I was fighting darkness....will try to get some better ones tomorrow and I'm also having trouble changing the number of holes on the course information from 9 to 18 so some of the holes have the wrong number according to disc golf scene.

ALERT: I lost my black Jupiter Oakleys Thursday night! :( If you find them or hear of someone that found them, please let me know. I am willing to give a reward (not a pair of Oakleys lol, but I'm sure we could work something out). Thanks

Is there a way people can get pre-registered / pre-paid? OR is it all going to be walk-up?

Mark Kewley   May 18, 2013 at 8:09pm

Are you giving away 4 pair of Merrells?

Damen W   May 18, 2013 at 9:24pm

I don 't think mace is going to have pre-registration...it'll probably just be walk up and it's only one pair of merrell's, but there is also $35 to sonic, and $40 to gambinos

Alan Fox    May 18, 2013 at 2:09am

Whats the best site to go to to find the list of tourneys around Kansas I have went to some sites but they really don't give like any info on ne thing

shaun chambers   May 18, 2013 at 7:15am

kdga under forum then schedule, thats a good starter

Mark Kewley   May 18, 2013 at 8:58am

If you go to DFOK.US there are links on the left side to KDGA events and PDGA events

Rick Petrie   May 18, 2013 at 10:33am

When on the KDGA site, don't just look at the "OZ Tour ... Information", reason being there are a lot of fun tournaments that are not on the "Oz Tour". For example, our 3-Disc Challenge, the Sunflower State Games, stuff in Neb... In other words look here too --> http://kansasdiscgolf.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=20

Travis Bailey    May 17, 2013 at 9:11pm

Turns out I'm pretty awful about leaving discs around on courses. If you've found a yellow crystal z buzz with a rainbow break the chains stamp at Warner in the past few days, please let me know!

Smitty says he will get Little Apple Open information up soon. It is June 2nd. It's a KDGA/PDGA event again.

In today's mail was the check from Millennium Golf Discs for last weekend's DFOK Fairmont Fundraiser Tournament.

Later this evening (when I get more free time) I will post a financial summary of how last weekend's tournament benefitted our Fairmont Disc Golf Course expansion project.

Damen W    May 9, 2013 at 10:55pm

probably gonna be in town tomorrow for most of the afternoon. Gonna try and play moon lake, Fairmont, warner, and tuttle if there is time...but we'll see how that goes. I doubt all that happens. I'll put up some info for the TootleToss tournament at warner.
