I am willing to start another $50 group to sponsor a half fariway at Fairmont. I need 4 more people to get in on this with me. And as I have been informed by Rick time is of the essence so lets get this money together so we can have our names etched in metal forever.

Hey everybody, the Sunflower State Games disc golf tournament (in Topeka) is only 3 weeks away.
It offers one of the few doubles tournaments Kansas each year, on Saturday. The a standard rules Singles event on the following Sunday. If you medal (1st, 2nd or 3rd) you are then qualified to participate in the State Games of America!

Greeting on this Thursday lunch hour (for me at least). I have some news that's still "developing", but not locked down with check in hand just yet. Therefore I'm going to keep it vague and post it on this Talk tab. This morning I received another verbal commitment for a Full Fairway! Considering the organization, it's a 95% lock! That means we only have 2 more fairways to go! (Technically it's shown as 1 Full + 2 Half fairways, but we can do some shuffling if needed).
So if you're wanting to get in on the $50 donation thing that Jon is coordinating, you'll need to get him you $ pretty soon. Don't let the last few fairways slip away before it's too late.

After not playing Warner in nearly 1.5 months, I've learned that the new hazards on hole 6 like to eat discs. Took me a solid 30 minutes to find it. Avoid them at all costs. Haha!

A local Geocash enthusiast, that I met a while back while promoting disc golf, has asked me to pass along information about an upcoming event. It is called "The KC Disc Golf And Geocaching Mashup".
It is set to take place at "Lake Olathe from 8AM to 5PM on the 22nd of June". From the sounds of things it combines Disc Golf with Geochashing. It sounds like it could be pretty interesting, however I will not be able to attend.

Anybody care to join me tomorrow morning to do a little light work at Fairmont? We need to rake some recently cut leaves of the "fairway" areas of #2 & "6. Don't worry, it won't even take an hour if we have 3 or 4 people. I'll even bring rakes. I've got enough for 5 DFOKers.
Ya know we need it clear for Tuesday night.

If anyone knows anyone who lost a set of car keys out at Fairmont let me know Me and Roberto Santiago were playing today and he found a set of keys

Found: Clouse disc on #13. Glow Innova driver of some sort. I'll get it back to you ASAP.
Found: My drive from #16 tonight. Turns out I bombed it out to the water!
Lost: My neon green, KDGA stamp, Innova Champion driver. It should be "just off the bank" on #13.

Alan Fox June 7, 2013 at 12:19pm

Say something ...Anyone want to meet out at Tuttle around noon this Saturday and do some buy/sell/and trades? Be a good time to get rid of stuff you don't throw and have a chance to get into a whole bag of stuff you will throw?

is anyone else having a problem with the kdga website lately??
Adam Cossette June 2, 2013 at 5:00pm
Is there a lost disc forum for Manhattan?
I ended up leaving my brand new MVP Vector on the fairway of #9 at Warner this weekend. It has a ridiculous dyemax picture of my cat on the front, so hard to miss. :(
If anyone happens to come across it, I would gladly pay for shipping to Kansas City. Thanks.
