kdga under forum then schedule, thats a good starter

Mark Kewley   May 18, 2013 at 8:58am

If you go to DFOK.US there are links on the left side to KDGA events and PDGA events

Rick Petrie   May 18, 2013 at 10:33am

When on the KDGA site, don't just look at the "OZ Tour ... Information", reason being there are a lot of fun tournaments that are not on the "Oz Tour". For example, our 3-Disc Challenge, the Sunflower State Games, stuff in Neb... In other words look here too --> http://kansasdiscgolf.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=20

Turns out I'm pretty awful about leaving discs around on courses. If you've found a yellow crystal z buzz with a rainbow break the chains stamp at Warner in the past few days, please let me know!

Smitty says he will get Little Apple Open information up soon. It is June 2nd. It's a KDGA/PDGA event again.

In today's mail was the check from Millennium Golf Discs for last weekend's DFOK Fairmont Fundraiser Tournament.

Later this evening (when I get more free time) I will post a financial summary of how last weekend's tournament benefitted our Fairmont Disc Golf Course expansion project.

probably gonna be in town tomorrow for most of the afternoon. Gonna try and play moon lake, Fairmont, warner, and tuttle if there is time...but we'll see how that goes. I doubt all that happens. I'll put up some info for the TootleToss tournament at warner.

I'm currently trying to get some extra spending cash for a trip to an orientation for a camp I'm working at this summer in Arkansas. It looks like I've got to sell some discs in order to do so. Message me if you are looking for something in particular and maybe I can hook someone up. Thanks!

You can specify "Local Trade Only". It will work fine.

Rick Petrie   May 7, 2013 at 10:26pm

... I meant "Local Sale Only".

Travis Bailey   May 8, 2013 at 12:53am

Yeah, I will probably put the effort into that tomorrow. Good idea. Thanks!

The DiscGolfKansas.com Drive Analysis fundraiser for Fairmont Park First of all, DiscGolfKansas.com is not a business. It is just a domain name I own that usually points at DFOK stuff & etc. It just sounds more credible than “The Mark Kewley Drive Analysis”. How it works: I will film you throwing drives and provide you with a DVD containing video of you at full speed and in slow motion. Example: http://youtu.be/FpQV_OAy8b0 Actual videos will be better quality. If you want to ... more

Mark, I think anybody can link an "album" of theirs to the "photo" tab of the tournament. Just go to your album, then look for the "Event" button to tie them together.

A donation to the DFOK Fairmont Expansion Project from the 2012 -2013 Glow League.

Today at the DFOK Fairmont Fundraiser Tournament the “basket illumination” fund was turned over to Rick Petrie to go towards the DFOK portion of expense for the project. The short version is DFOK has $61 more for Fairmont. More Information: http://home.wamego.net/kewley/dfok/documents/glow2012-2013.pdf

Thanks to all who helped run today's Fairmont Fundraiser Tournament. Thanks to all who signed up and played in todays tournament too.

Your participation and hard work is helping us get closer to getting that course built!

Last but not least, my apologies to anyone who I could not complete a conversation with. Duty called often. I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Don't forget to bring an extra $5 spot to by (optional) "Dot Dollars".

It's an opportunity to "erase" some of your bad throws today, and help expand a disc golf course.

Rise & shine everyone. Today's a great day to raise some money for our Fairmont Disc Golf Expansion Project.

Rain or shine, I look forward to seeing all of you at the course today!

Do you have an all metal basket that you can bring tomorrow by 8:30AM?

If we had 1 more we can do something really cool!!!

Mark Kewley    May 3, 2013 at 10:31pm

Hey DFOK,

If you can get to Fairmont early to help put out these baskets, please do. Like Rick said, they are all metal. It's going to take some effort to get them placed. We ran into some people tonight that came from Iowa for this. Let's try to get the new holes set up so guests from out of town can get a walk through before the tournament! I'll try to be there by 8:00 at the latest. Probably before that.

Rick Petrie   May 3, 2013 at 10:38pm

Great plan Mark. We want to minimize how long our guests from Iowa are out wandering around without baskets.

shaun chambers   May 4, 2013 at 12:41am

will be there at 830 to help

Mark Kewley   May 4, 2013 at 7:23am

Thanks Shaun

Rick Petrie    May 3, 2013 at 9:59am

I am pleased to announce that tomorrow's tournament will feature 18 baskets of the all metal variety.

Any volunteers interested in helping Kewley & Clouse get the baskets perfectly placed would be greatly appreciated. Please 30 min. prior to check-in to help (that's 8:30 to 9:00).

Shout out to the following people for working the DFOK table at last night's Convention & Visitors Bureau event.

- Josh Carroll

- Bill Pryor

- Mark Kewley

- Jon Tveite

- yeah, me too

Making contact with potential fairway sponsors, getting some air time on a local radio station about our club & Fairmont project, not to mention educating tons of people about disc golf in general... was time well spent!
