I wish I could play in the afternoon round with bunch of Intermediate division players... I would have been sandbagged then.
It was a great tourney! It is always fun to play disc golf with bunch of friends and good players.

Good times at Break the Chains today. Thanks again to RevKev! Congratulations to all the DFOKers that placed.

Taki, quit sandbagging!

Big achievement, Daisuke! The samurai disc golfer slashed the strong wind in Herrington!

It rolled in pretty quickly, I was surprised. I'm not sure I would have ever gotten warmed up anyway..... Of course the sun was shining when I got home.
See you Wednesday.

Sorry to hear you will be out all week Rick. I'm really looking forward to next Saturday though.

How about 5:30 mark?... I don't get out of work until 5:15.

I would probably play Fairmont. The wind & sun kind of ran me down yesterday. Fairmont would be good practice for next weekend.& I have a couple of new discs to try out.

I am sorry to say that I will not be playing today. I played all day yesterday and will be traveling on business a lot late this coming week so I've got my hands full with other stuff until then.
The next time I will be playing around Manhattan will be next Saturday (in the Break the Chains Tourney).

Hope your windy conditions putting practice goes well. That's a wise thing to practice up on.

See you soon.

Would anyone be interested in a casual practice round today? I need to get some windy putting practice in and am having trouble convincing myself that it would be more fun than riding some trails or fishing.

Yes I'm looking forward to Warner Wednesdays, but I'm really looking forward to weekend trips.

Regarding Ft. Rileys disc golf course, we should pick a weekend May that we can all do. May will be here before we know it.

Me too Mark, and I mangaed to work Wednesday evenings out of my schedule at work so hopefully I won't have to miss many league nights!!
....and I'm still dying to get out to Riley if I can ever get a free weekend.

Are you ready to "Break the Chains"? I'll bet you are!

Break the Chains is the name of the tournament that fellow league member Kevin Clark is helping organize. ( see http://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/Break_the_Chains_2011 ) As you will see, this tournament is scheduled for Saturday April 9th. He doesn't have many of the details posted as of yet but the one thing is seeing that it's going to be very affordable.

What I know of Kevin makes me believe that it will be a fun tourney for all. I am looking forward to playing in it. Hope to see you there.

Rick

Disc golf scene is seriously lacking in the course reviews so I cut/pasted some older reviews that I have written on some courses (mostly around here and the KC area). Im sure my opinion on some of them has changed over time, but I will read over them and make neccesary adjustments soon. I will also try to get more course photos up as it warms up and I get back out to play some of these again.
I hope this helps anyone who is looking to get out and see what other courses have to offer.
Thanks

I'll plan on being out there. Even with some pads under water and the goose poop, it seemed to play better than the other courses yesterday.

I got a good veiw of a bald eagle too.

We will probably be around at 14:30. We should get prepared for melt goose feces. Bring lots of towels!
