My apologies to any person or organization that was left of of my comments about the fine job at Stub Stewart State Park. I didnt mean to exclude the awesome amount of work it took to make the course such an great place to play. Props to ALL of the Peeps and organizations for the dedication, sweat and time they spent there. Stumptown,The Boy Scouts,The Inmates and Ranger Steve. I'm sure I missed some but that includes you too. THANK YOU!! p.s. Hi Miss Emma!!!

Yes, for sure Stumptown all the way! We did some work partys but thats about it. I think Ranger Steve Kruger(who saved Arnies life on hole 8... literally) is the man! And im pretty sure the Boy Scouts put in most of the teepads? Its an amazing course and im glad I was able to be a small part of it. Its definitely fun to play there and see the work we did do. If you've never been part of a new course, do it. Its very rewarding. For info on course work parties check here: http://www.nwdiscgol ... more

i hesitate posting this, but feel that credit where credit is due is very important.

stub stewart from initial conception, contact with rangers and the state park, course design and to my knowledge organization and implementation of all work parties to date has been a Stumptown driven endeavour. this is not to say that we did not have a great turnout from DGOD members at these work parties... cross club contamination is nothing but great for disc golf and the more of this type of thing the ... more

RIVAL CLUBS LEAGUE I was thinking of 4 or 5 div. (Open, Amateur, Recreational, Masters, woman) TEAMS. Points scoring based on how many clubs are involved. (4 clubs = 4 possible points per win per team) Two rounds of 18 holes (regular layout) per event. One or two events at each clubs home course or courses if the case may be. Scoring example: 1st event-
Club A has 4 teams of 4 players, 2 finish 1st place @ 4 pts. ea. and 2 finish 4th place @ 1 pt. ea. = 10 pts. for the day.
Club B has 4 teams ... more

I'm looking in to starting a RIVALRY clubs league. Is this something your club may want to be part of? We are thinking of the 2012 season starting the league. We are in the development stage now, so open to ideas. The league will be run on the scene by a comity of one T.D. from each club involved. One or two events on each clubs HOME courses, TEAM FORMAT, Open, Advanced, Am, Masters divisions, Points eared for each round, Trophy for each div. and one for the club with the MOST points. I lost a bright green/yellow Lat64 Opto Pain on hole one of the Meadow Ridge during warm-up yesterday. It went a little long and I wasn't able to find it on the bank behind the basket anywhere. I would REALLY like to have the disc back. The back of the discs says "Gwillim" in sharpie. If anyone can return it to me, I'll hook them up with a new disc.

We call every course home... it's perfectly sinister!

Might be a little too sinister for a club that calls a church course home. Has the cool factor though.
