Blake - there is another disc golf outing being put on by the same group - the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) on June 8th at 1:00 PM. Everyone is welcome once again. (even you who won the big prize last eyar)

I would as well! I played a CDGA sponsored disc golf outing that Dave set up last year for a professional organization he is apart of, and had a great time. He may even remember that I came away with a phone number as well :-)

Hey, just throwing it out there, I would have a blast playing "ambassador" for a group that wanted to learn about disc golf if the club is ever looking for a volunteer.

Awesome, I have heard about the $5 dollar doubles but have yet to make it out to one. I will change that when the next one is set to go. Thanks again for the info.

Some how or another I forgot to mentioned in my list of things we have done, is we just co-hosted and ran a Discraft Clinic... =) Not sure how that one slipped my mind as I was running around my head cut off trying to keep all that organized.. lol

The tags can be purchased from league or myself as soon as we get the tags in, Once we have the Tags in, I will post the outline of the tag system and how its expected to work out. -We work with local groups to spread the sport of disc golf. (Perfect example is the Rotary club has had a couple outings where we assisted in the teaching of and instructions of Disc golf, Just last Tuesday they had Foreign exchange people in from India which a handful of CDGA people helped with)

-Bag tags on its own is outside of league IMO.

-As you specified Tuesday leagues. I also run a 5$ doubles on Sundays, The Sundays which I can make that is, Plus the Free Handicap doubles on Sunday mornings as well.

I am sure there are more, but this is what I can think of off the top of my head.

Thanks for the info Patrick. I hope that I did not come off as sarcastic in my question as it was truly earnest.

A couple more questions if you would be so obliged.

-When can we buy bag tags/when does bag tag start?

-If the CDGA is an umbrella organization what other events/leagues are run by the CDGA other than Tuesday League?

I never said they did not have the right to complain. I would just like to see more from them. Though if throwing a round on Tuesdays and complaining is all some people want out of the CDGA not much I can do about that.

I only provide time, places, and outlets for people to get things resolved. I can only do so much.

Paying to play in a league should not give anyone the right to tell the club how to run its affairs. 2) Everyone's invited to the meetings as everyone's opinions matter to me. I will listen to anyone who has an opinion on something especially if its constructive.

3) Again with all the specific questions about club affairs everyone is quick to demand info on a website but no one shows up in person to a meeting to get this info. The club currently has no extra money as we are in the process of getting our own disc inventory to assist in payouts for league and tournaments.

4) Yes, board members will have tags. Yes we will pay for tags just like the next person.

5) If everyone is so passionate about having a vote then paying 15$ to become a voting member shouldn't that big of a deal especially since 95% of that 15$ goes right back into pay outs for people. Their are more topics to vote on than just League events. Hence why you have a membership fee. This was also discussed at the last major meeting last year where people where invited to and it was discussed with everyone. No one had any complaints at this meeting when membership fees were brought up. Then again only 10 or so people showed up.

In short, I happy that so many people are passionate about they feel the club should be ran and give the impression they want to be involved. My request to all of you is to take action not just post online about it. Show up to meetings, Show up on clean up days to help out, ECT. Theres so much more to CDGA than just playing on Tuesdays and complaining on the boards.

why is so confusing. so why invite people 2 a meeting if they cant vote doesnt make sense. if u play in the league players should be able 2 talk and vote on issues dealing with league plain and simple. also how much money is in the cdga league account This league is just rec league for fun and enjoyment.

Patrick, who actually gets to "vote" on anything? The way I understood it, paying the $35 dollar league fee doesnt give a league member voting rights.

Not sure how we lost a lot of players, when last year we had 37 players total for league, and this year we already have 39 players.

As far as the politics go, Its easy to view something as a dictatorship when no one shows up to the club meetings to submit votes / express opinions.

Speaking of which, Next club meeting is June 24th, After Sunday dubs. All are welcomed at Reidys in town. Every club meeting will be the last Sunday of the month after Sunday dubs. Hope to see more players show up for the meetings.

As for peoples oppinions on drinking, smoking, and how league is run I am glad to hear them being said someone where everyone can see. I personally dont have a problem with people doing what they want, but discretion should be used.

Your argument has a huge hole in it. That would be the fact that just or not, pot is illegal. Even if you have your card it's still illegal to smoke it in public. It's still illegal and irresponsible to smoke it in front of children. Such flagrant illegal activity is bad for disc golf clubs. Patrick is well within the realm of reason to request that smokers use discretion while breaking a law.

What I want to know is why u are trying to parent other peoples children and why u think its ok for a child to learn how to gamble. 9 weeks and u will have one less person out there medicating them self to null the pain there body goes thew so they can have a good time. Must be your medication must come in a pill form for it to be ok. Sorry I don't want pills or alcohol eating away my stomach
