I noticed it, no smoking, chewing, e-cigarettes during play. Though as soon as your card is turned in you are free to smoke.

Patrick Fulkerson    May 21, 2011 at 11:14pm

Anyone notice the new policy change for PDGA, They are testing it out for worlds tournament (pro and amateur) Smoking of all kinds are prohibited, including E-cigarettes and chewing tobacco. Pending how it goes it will be in the fall ballot for rule book entry to used at all sanctioned tournaments.

@ Ken Sanctioned for all divisions, just clicked the wrong button on the initial setup of the page!

Chad Lantz    April 9, 2011 at 8:52am

There are sign up sheets for leagues down at Skid's shop or I can email to you. Your choice. Leagues will start the tuesday after the lp open, may 3rd.

Chris Smith    April 8, 2011 at 2:51pm

When does the league start and how do we sign-up/pay?

Jason Lord    April 7, 2011 at 8:12am

League this year is going to run a little different than last years. The entry fee is $35 up front and includes a player pack. If you choose to pay the weekly fee of $3, you will not receive a players pack and will only be in the running for points. The players pack consists of a custom dry fit t-shirt, custom towel and a custom bag tag. That being said, if you decide to do the weekly pay and don't have the money to pay that day, you don't get points. Now for the good stuff, there is 24 weeks of ... more

Just dropping in to say "Hi" to everyone. I'm sitting here listening to the Tigers opening game of the 2011 season, thinking of summer and wishing I were at Lincoln Park. Keep up all of the great work CDGA! You guys really are a class act organization.

Jacob Hanley    March 14, 2011 at 3:07pm

when will the sign up sheets for league be available?

Jim Knudson    February 28, 2011 at 10:57am

Check out my last picture. A Charlotte Mini lives in Denver, CO.

I think the duel coarses is good if you have lots of players and need to split up the divisions. Open, Am 1and 2 play Charlotte first round, Potterville the 2nd.round.

Am 3, women, and Masters play Potterville 1st, then Charlotte 2nd round.

If you don't have a space problem (too many competitors for 1 coarse,), the LP Open should be played in Charlotte and Potterville can work on their new mosquito crop..

Ken Long-Old Man    February 27, 2011 at 8:44pm

As an out of towner and non club member... I am going with the single course vote. Which is both rounds being played in Charlotte. Less hassle and it would give the opportunity to help break in the new holes. My big curiosity is why the non sanction for pros and sanction for ams in your C-tier event in May. Is that legal?

Jacob Hanley    February 27, 2011 at 8:38pm

i think both rounds of the L.P. Open should be at Charlotte. especially now that we have 24 holes

Jason Lord    February 27, 2011 at 7:13pm

please let me know what your think about L.P. being played at both Lincoln Park and Lake Alliance in Potterville?

Chris Smith    February 14, 2011 at 3:23pm

Chad, thanks for the response. After talking to Robert it sounds like there has always been the option of a youth division in the leagues. It's just not something that anyone signed up for. That may be the way to go. I know that my kids say they are interested. I am sure that there are probably more. It would just be a matter of getting the word out. Let me know if I'm understanding correctly and I'll work on finding a few other kids that might want to play to fill out the division. On ... more

Chad Lantz    February 14, 2011 at 12:58pm

Sounds like a great idea, Chris. My only problem is that my plate is full. Between working all the time and running regular league this summer I am spent. I'm not going to raise my hand and volunteer for this one.

Chris Smith    February 11, 2011 at 9:00am

What would you guys think about CDGA doing a youth "instructional" league over the summer? If the registration included a lite all purpose disc that they could use in the league and maybe a t-shirt to spread the word, then all you would need is someone willing to organize it. I'm not raising my hand too high but I've got three kids that would sign up if it existed, so I would be willing to help get it off the ground.

Jason Lord    February 1, 2011 at 7:08pm

ya ill take the blame for setting the meeting for the 14th but was says i love you like city hall

J. Mays    February 1, 2011 at 9:59am

The 14th of February (Valentine's Day) does not seem like a good day for a CDGA meeting. It might prevent some from attending.

Chris Smith    October 18, 2010 at 3:14pm

I'm wondering what I could do to help with hole 12. The basket and the sign are never in sync. I played today and checked the sign. It said something to the effect of "Notice the basket is back on the ridge". I threw my drive walked up and saw the post capped off at the top of the ridge. I walked around the corner, found the basket behind the ridge and started the hole again. It's one of those pet peeves that I think bother other people too. Rather than just complain about it, I'd like ... more

Congrats to Rae for posting a personal best -5 yesterday at Charlotte.

He added a step to his driving approach and added 30 feet per drive on the first day!!

Go X-Rae!!
