In September the local ladies club Capital City Crushers will be hosting the biggest women-only tournament in the world, PDGA United States Women's Disc Golf Championships. This will be held Sept 21-23 at Burchfield Park in Holt.
We have already broken a record # of participants with a full field of 168 players and a waitlist to get in!

We are looking for volunteers to help in many different ways, spotting, making sure there is water on the course, helping the TDs at tournament central, and helping move baskets Friday and Saturday night to different pin positions for a new layout each day for the women. I will be meeting with the City of Lansing tonight to talk about the course I put in at Ingham Park and all the successes we've had. The meeting is at 7pm at the Foster Community Center. They're usually not very exciting but it helps to update them on how well things have been going so we can possibly put another course in else where. If anyone would like to come and say how much they've enjoyed the course, or what it's meant to them to have another course in the area, please feel free to join.

We are putting on an upcoming tournament on 3-24 that is being used as a fundraiser for Lansing area sports officials to raise funds to travel to the National Dwarf Games in Orlando, FL. I am in the process of getting people to donate prizes so I am hoping there are lots of new discs to give away as well as other surprises. Anyone down for a $20 disc golf secret Santa? People pick what brand they prefer then their “Secret Santa” gets them something of value around $20 bucks of that brand. We did it back home every year, it’s always a good time. Then everyone meet at Lansing Brewery the Saturday 12/23/17 before christmas. Sunday morning cash dubs at Ingham Park - 10am start! $5 random draw doubles, optional $5 ace pool. Done before Noon. Going to run it thru the Winter as long as there is participation. Thanks!

Sunday morning rounds at Ingham Park this weekend if people want to come check the park out! 10am start. Be done before noon. A few people going already but would like to get 6 or 8+ to make sure the course flows with two cards. Baskets are all in and tee pads are marked for anyone that wants to check it out!!! Hole 1 starts just past the basketball court and to the left. Still a lot of work to do out there but it's playable and has been getting some great reviews from people so far. A nice ... more

If anyone who lives in lansing area plans on playing any tournies in the ypsi/a2 area could do me a favor and grab my umbrella from doug prize, i forgot it at kick out the yams, i would appreciate the help and show it, i play leagues and tournies in the ypsi area often, please send me a pm if you can help me out, thanks.

Howdy folks! Sunday Nov 19th, I'm hoping to get the sleeves in the ground at Ingham Park! 930AM start time for anyone who can spare some time. Going to need a few shovels and a few hands. Hopefully with 4 or 5 people doing 2 holes each we can knock it out in a few hours before putting league! I'll be cementing the sleeves in the pails this week so all we'll need to do is dig the holes. Let me know if anyone can make it so we can get these in before winter sets in.
