Special thanks to Matt Rinker, Victoria Cena, Erin Oakley and Regina for sticking out the crummy weather Saturday and driving all the way to CMU to help introduce disc golf to Michigan Special Olympics! You guys are true stewards of the sport. Thanks again.

If anyone is interested in helping introduce disc golf to Special Olympics Michigan please let me know. At the State Summer Games on May 29th and 30th I will be doing a demonstration and will need some help. The demo takes place as part of the special events which are activities for the athletes when they aren't competing. The time Friday is 8:30am-5:00pm and Saturday from 8:30am-3:30pm. It's at CMU in Mt. Pleasant, any time you could help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Lol yeah they do new and used

Erin Oakley   April 6, 2015 at 3:21pm

McSports supports local disc golf as well as the women's disc golf. Metro Darts and Disc in Dimondale also sells. He has a small selection at this time, but if he can get some business he is looking to expand as well.

Chris Booker   April 6, 2015 at 7:23pm

I'll have to check both those out. I'd rather buy local and not from online retailers.

Didn't get into the March Mush Day 1? Or, looking for an event to practice at before the March Mush Day 2?

Why not play Blue Gill and support the Grand Valley State University Disc Golf Team?!?!

Does anyone know which course in the Lansing area is the most playable right now? It's a nice sunny day and I think it's about time I start tossing some plastic again

All club members or anyone interested in helping out our club getting Fitzgerald Park course looking great, next month is our Fixgerarld tournament fundraiser. We need donated plastic/disc golf merch for payouts. Contact myself or Matt Rinker if you would be willing to help out. Anything helps us with our goal in making Fitzgerald another great course for Mid Michigan.

For the BYOBasket event we will use a few carts to get the baskets setup. In play we will walk, to get a better idea of course flow. Greg also reminded me that they have a liquor licence and beer and liquor are available for purchase as well. :)

Kris Vezino   December 1, 2014 at 12:25pm

Liquor and carts? Where are we discing? Heavan?

Erin Oakley   December 5, 2014 at 6:42am

Harold Fernando   November 15, 2014 at 10:27am

Why are you selling your disc stuff? Not giving up the sport are ya?

Chris Eberhard   November 17, 2014 at 10:59am

I am going to keep my few favorite playing discs, so I'll still go out from time to time.

Andrew Blankemeyer    November 5, 2014 at 8:59pm

Looking for some help. I have a CCR Open Champion disc from the 2008 pdga tournament. Im trying to identify it. The stamp has been nearly completely wiped off and no markings remaining on the back. I was hoping someone out there remembered what disc it was? Its Innova and thinking its either a wraith, destroyer, or boss. Any help?

Matt Dimick   November 5, 2014 at 6:18pm

Probably a Destroyer, had lots of destroyers that year.

Justin 32K Standish   November 14, 2014 at 4:10pm

Could be a katana, katanas where super flat and destroyers had a nice dome.

Alex F    November 5, 2014 at 5:48pm

Grand Woods is going up for sale....maybe the club can buy it. This is what happens when all the wrong people turn out to vote, and park loving people don't. Crazy

Matt Blackburn   November 5, 2014 at 9:36am

The city of Lansing is selling it to Delta Township who had been laying out for years. No need to panic.

Matt Blackburn   November 5, 2014 at 9:37am

leasing not laying, stupid autocorrect

Matt Rinker   November 5, 2014 at 10:11am

Plus, the club can't afford the millions it wld take to buy it. But the township and city have been in negotiation for a while now. Let just hope they come to an agreement that allows the township to keep the park out right.
