Please keep in mind, as wilth all PacWest events this is a family friendly event, so leave your booze and grassy stash at home... Thanks in advance :-)

First off Robert let me thank you very much for the work you have done as treasurer of CCDG and getting the financial books into shape since you have taken over. Well done. But.... If I am not mistaken at March meeting last year after considerable discussion of number of board members as voted on by the membership (last time we had a vote) that section 3.03 you refer to was amended to 7 board members (not multiple choice). It was passed and approved that way, not as from 3-15 on the choice ... more

This is why this club will never be as great as they wish to be. The same people in office that started this mess and they don't aspire to make the necessary changes to make CCDG the club it could be.

ROGUE RIDER   April 18, 2013 at 11:27am

holy **** me and billdo agree ...on one thing. CCDG let all the members be involved in "there" club and "you maybe surprised what people have to offer if given the chance". instead of some ego driven pricks picken and choosen - i quote your prez- "those that matter"

Robert 'straight shooter' Jones    April 17, 2013 at 12:59am

Steve let me try to explain to you again what the bylaws state about board member size. Section 3.03 deals with the size of the board. The board decided on 7 members in the beginning, after the 2 were dismissed for lack of participation, the board decided to keep it at 5 members. Section 3.03 says "The Corporation shall have a varible-range size board of directors. The minimum number of directors shall be three and the maximum shall be fifthteen. The number of directors may be fixed or changed p ... more

Robert is exactly right in his interpretation of the bylaws. The CCDG BOD has total control over "WHO" and "HOW MANY" directors sit on the Board of Directors based on the current adopted bylaws. The membership only had one opportunity to elect the BOD at the adoption of the bylaws. I have seen this ... more

ROGUE RIDER   May 14, 2013 at 12:10pm

still a shame all the efforts put forth by somany to help this club grow and improve, yet it still is going down into the ****ter. appears that somany new clubs have formed from past ccdg members due to the fact that ccdg has been run into the toilet. TIME FOR A CHANGE IN DIRECTION!

Steve Moore    April 17, 2013 at 12:29am

So let's try this again since it's been over a year and I do not feel this has ever been resolved properly. I still want to see the bylaws as amended a year ago to have 7 board members which was voted on and passed as the last thing and time members had a vote posted for all to see. Time went on and then 2 board members dismissed without ever being replaced. Now it seems to have got back to 5 board members which is not what was agreed to. After this dismissal of the 2 without replacements to ... more

Sorry bout leaving after talking with you Barry but looked like you and helpers had it covered, Big thanks to those involved. I can probably be available to help with netting with a little heads up once it gets decided which day and time.

Steve Moore   March 12, 2013 at 5:06pm

Is there a gameplan or date/time for putting up the netting protection? Try to make it there if possible.

The "Herb"    March 5, 2013 at 6:48pm

awesome job to you and anybody else that helped, the new trees are an awesome addition to cascade.

Steve Moore   February 18, 2013 at 12:58pm

Thanks for the work to get the trees in at Cascade course yesterday. Not sure who else was able to give Barry a hand with this as I was at Woodmansee work party. Thanks again to all involved and Barry for double duty at both courses in one day.

Barry "B" Bolliger    February 15, 2013 at 2:28pm

I would like to introduce myself as the new greenskeeper at Cascade gateway park. I would like to thank Lee for his service and great job. And I hope to continue that service and good work. I need 2 volunteers to help me plant 2 trees Sunday afternoon February 17th.

Hole 16 and 17 both have a dead tree on them. Will start at about 9:00 am and try to make it over to Wood's when where done. I was not tring to swoop on your work praty day, its just that the trees are still in they're root ball and really need to go in the ground in the next few days.I'm hoping to still make Woods by afternoon. ROGUE RIDER   February 16, 2013 at 11:24pm

B, if i may??? the tree that was on 13 i think could be key #1 it adds technical to gettin at that hole and if an Alternate ever went in shorter for 13 the tree would be a divide for 13short position and 14 t-pad so long as right of the road is played safe.

ROGUE RIDER   February 17, 2013 at 11:33pm

AMAZING somebody listened to my suggestion! the trees are freakin awesome. had to get some fresh gas through the bike so took a ride just to checkout cascade trees and i must say they are AMAZING. well done sir! and you came out to woods to do work

Steve Moore    February 13, 2013 at 11:59pm

I feel that the board as a group and the membership in general has forgotten what our mission statement says: " We are dedicated to strengthening the community by providing and supporting committed volunteers to establish, develop, and maintain disc golf courses so families and individuals of all age and skill level can enjoy the sport in Salem." Maybe just something that all should stop and think about what it means and how each individual can live up to this to strengthen the whole gro ... more

Steve Moore   February 14, 2013 at 8:59pm

I don't know if anyone will listen or hear what I have to say, but it should be obvious to all that all is not well in our disc community and that is sad. I can only hope for the best and maybe it's time to get back to playing and not worry about it all anymore, to bad but I'll still be on a course sometime, somewhere.
