Great day news flash... I would like to take the time to put a BIG thanks out to Steve Winslow and his group of helpers to accomplish the pouring of final 14 tee pads at Camp Taloali. Also thanks out to Americorp helpers that also participated in this project. I don't know all involved but do know that Steve Winslow and Scottish Rob will have a vacation to remember, thanks guys. Possibly Trisodium phosphate to clean them with?? Would be my best guess at this time.

Nathan B   March 20 at 6:51pm

Nothing will beat Taloali... :) Thank you to everyone to put in the work... I'm glad that part got done... Now I can move on to the next part... please email me [email redacted] who the current board at capital city disc golf is since they had $1500 of money put aside for this project and I would like to see If I can move on to the Alt pin project I wanted to do after tpads were done...

Steven Winslow   March 20 at 11:01pm

Nathan B - board members are listed @ www.capitalcitydiscgolf.com there also wasn't $1500 for Taloali, and the entire fund was used. I'm fairly certain basket replacement/repair will be prioritized for 2 and 7 over alt pin placements. But you should double check with board members to be sure.

Steven Winslow    March 11 at 11:03pm

There is a work party for the remaining 14 unpoured teepads at Camp Taloali this weekend. If you're helping with the teepad pour, the truck arrives at 10:00am on Saturday, 15 March 2014. So show up in time to be ready to work the second it arrives. Camp Taloali & Kiwanis are providing lunch for all the people who show up and help.

Sign up before or just show up in the morning?

Steven Winslow   March 12 at 2:16am

There are no signups per se, but we will have people organizing teams at the course entrance while we wait for the truck.

Christopher Fanger   March 12 at 2:20am

Cool thank you, I hope to make it. I can definitely help get the word out if needed

Steven Winslow    March 11 at 9:45pm

The Jerry Miller DGC @ Camp Taloali will be closed for play at 5:00pm this Thursday, 13 March 2014. The course will re-open on 23 March 2014.

I just love the part about being molested. haha

Steven Winslow   March 12 at 12:19am

I'm fairly certain the public, at least those that actually care about Taloali, and not only for disc golf, follow their Facebook (which is their primary method of putting out information). Which is also where they already stated this information. And I'm pretty sure the appropriate response to a us ... more

You can show up to almost any CCDG event or a club meeting and there will be someone there who can get you hooked up with a membership! You also don't have to be a member to play in club events :)

Robert 'straight shooter' Jones   February 26 at 8:36pm

Hi Brad, welcome to the area. I can get you a membership. I will be at Dallas this Sunday at 10am for our Random Doubles. Also the clubs monthly meeting is this Wed Mar 5th at Salem Ale Works, 2027 25th St SE Salem. Hope to see and meet you there. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for your interest in the club.

Robert 'straight shooter' Jones   February 26 at 8:41pm

Brad if you activate your Disc Golf Scene profile I can send you an email.

Christopher Fanger    February 25 at 3:08am

Looking for more clubs to challenge CVDGC @ Champoeg? March 16th AceFlow from Eugene will be in town and it would be cool if your club made it too!

For general announcement to any one interested. I am no longer associated with PacWest DGA. Our going of the ways came after the end of a discussion about it all. For the best of PacWest I have stepped aside and wish them well on future endeavors. I will still be active to some degree with the disc golf community and future projects, as that is all I've tried to do in past years. Difference for now it will be not associated with any group in particular and more like the old man from the Haw ... more

DGLA: Oregon <– O –> Michigan Disc Swap DGLA expanded the Statewide Cooperative Point Series to Oregon and Ohio this winter and already the expanded player cooperation has yielded new ideas. ROGUE RIDER (Lee) from Oregon sent me an idea to swap a few Michigan Event or Club stamped discs for some Oregon discs to help spice up their CTP and award disc selection. Pretty cool idea. With a little more cooperation, Lee and I have expanded this idea to help all the interested clubs and ... more
