We have been interested in building a disc golf course on our 83+ acre camp. I have gone out and played a couple mock holes to see just about how many holes we could house and I found about 13 without having to do any work what so ever and 5 that would have to be through wooded areas. Few more hours working on the course again today. More cleaning around basket locations and walkout trails. Also some more cleaning on yellow basket top rings. I must have missed the backsides of a couple of them last time I did them. I'd fire myself but the pay is so good as a volunteer. As far as the bridge at 6/15 being out, no good news. Talked to people at number listed again and no update as to even when they may start doing anything. This is a big pain to both the regular park patrons and ourselves. Not sure what answer is at this time. The park patrons I've talked to while there have turned in calls, we need to keep hitting them with calls from each of us to show our concern also. May not change the outcome or time frame but at times grouping together like this with many calls from many folks can grease the wheels sometimes, shows concern of users.

Have talked to many players this last week there, some first timers, some out of towners. The comments are really like the course, signage, appearance, playability, except for the bridge which cuts the layout in half and ruins it. They understand it is nothing we can do at this time but it really distracts from the course at this time.

Just a little thought to put out from my activities in other groups, some much larger then this one, that applies to all groups. Do you Just Belong? Are you an active member, the kind that would be missed? Or are you just content, that your name is on the list? Do you attend the meetings, and mingle with the flock? Or do you meet in private, and criticize and knock? Do you take an active part to help the work along? Or are you satisfied to be the kind who just belongs? Do ... more

Think this over members, you know what's right from wrong.

Well, just some words that I think need to be put out and thought about.
I only wish the best for this group but want to ensure it grows properly so it lasts long time but remains open to all players of different level of ability
and to allow their voices and opinions to mean something. Never know who might have that next great idea.

We are in process of making some major decisions that I feel will effect the future of our sport in this area, good, bad or other wise.

I only want to ensure that we all understand these changes and that communicaton stays open to all involved at this time.

Precast Tee Pads were delivered yesterday to Keizer Rapids DGC! Hole 10 has been totally reconfigured into a longer hyzer, Hole 11 basket moved to short location, Hole 12 basket moved to alt position (wait till you see it!).

Monday February 20th, presidents day, we are going to whistlers bend for a day of disc golf. So far I have four going with me and I know more that would like to go. So if anyone is interested in going and willing to drive, please say something. We plan to leave Salem at 6am for the long drive. This is also Steve's birthday, so come on down and beat his ass in a totally non-gay way. This is a full day of disc golf so plan on being home in the evening possibly late, but it is well worth it. In my opinion this is one of if not the best course in Oregon.

I'm in. I'll bring a wheel barrow, shovels, rakes, a couple of clippers, and I might as well throw my chainsaw in just in case. I also have a couple post hole diggers and a gas powered weed eater I can bring if you think we'll need them.
