Who's up for a travel round tomorrow? It's my first day in months that I don't have anything planned so I'm thinking I need to get out of town and hit some courses before I move to Portland next week. I'm thinking maybe down south for some mixture of Dexter, Cottage Grove, Bryant, or maybe Waterloo since I've never played there. Or maybe up north for Dave Heider's course and then some mix of the McMinnville and Newberg courses. Or even sneaking out to Camp Dakota. Those are my first tho ... more

Went by Woodmansee today, haven't been by there for week and half. Anyway looks like city has part of fairway 2 taped off due to old tree falling but caught by another tree, danger zone. Be curious to see how long before they get around to doing something with it. Does anybody know which day it came down and got taped? Thanks and looks like last wind has created a mess again, but not as bad as it would of been with out what I've got done previously. Also the barkdust I got done in front o ... more

Thanks and looks like last wind has created a mess again, but not as bad as it would of been with out what I've got done previously. Also the barkdust I got done in front of tee pad 8 and down the hill part way has helped a lot there, still getting little slushy but not as bad as it would have been by now.

My point is there is still alot of barkdust available to use, has been for long time, and it sure would be helpful to finish getting it spread in areas that can use it. Maintenance of courses is very important, especially when we have materials available to us like this. I've been trying to set example with what I've been doing but can not, and will not much longer continue my efforts with out some help please.

one person hobbles around for 5 hours behind runaway lawn cart of barkdust. Made for interesting site today but managed long day of hauling bark to some areas. Tee pads 8/17 and 9/18 are done for now. Also walk down hill infront of 8 tee pad has been covered halfway down to help keep mud down in that area.

Park looking good now after two days work for the Battle this weekend and in general. Still need lots more of the bark spread around, would like to see all 3 piles gones as soon as possible, it can be used. Just like to get some help with it please.

I plan on being at Woodmansee course Thursday afternoon to get more work done getting ready for Battle on Saturday. Anybody with wheelbarrow sure would be helpful, like to get more barkdust down before next set of rains set in. Hard to do this all by myself.. Short notice but putting it out there.

Any more word on bylaw changes before meeting next week?

I would like to offer up the use of the Hawgfarm (my place, south end of Lancaster area) for those that might want to gather for a discussion of the new bylaws before next meeting. I am usually around in the evenings (during days with short notice) and would like to gather some other opinions, and express some of my ideas. I feel this is better done in personel setting rather then on forum, easier to discuss ideas back abd forth. Just putting it out there if anyone interested at any time b ... more

I will be meeting with Rick Saffeels from the Canyonview camp for a round up at Camp Taloali tomorrow, Monday, at 12:30 so he can see what the course looks like up there. The land the camp has for use of a course is somewhat the same. Anyone that can or wants to join us is welcome to come meet him and join us in some disc tossing. Should be a dry but cool day, but who knows with Oregon this time of year..

Hey I lost a bright Yellow star destroyer on hole 4 at Taloali. just left of the fairway. thought it would just be sitting there but we couldnt find it so must be on edge in a fern or under some leaves. it has a dyed pacman face on the front. my name and number is on the back

I will be happy to be point of contact at this time for further meetings with them and what is going on with it. Would be looking for couple folks to join me with some temp baskets and throw some discs at areas being looked at. Just got message from Rick Saffeels sayin he would be on site at the camp this Saturday from 7am -4:30 pm for a work party up there anyway. If some of us would like to take a trip up during day with some baskets he'd be happy to meet with us and show us around. I should be able to make time if others interested in running up there to check things out with him. Be nice to see what is available to work with and new course opportunities are always worth looking at.
