I'm very jealous that this league got started after I moved. Have fun everyone and congratulations to Jason and everyone else that helped get this started. I might come down and join you guys sometime this summer when I don't have class on Thursday nights.

yeah, all parks no matter how far along or not all need more done. i'll be at taloali getting it ready for the tourney. but huge plans for adair. also nate (snap) but i don't think the parks have ANYTHING to do with taloali, private land and all.
Steve Moore April 10, 2012 at 10:36pm
That would be my guess also. We have our own work party scheduled for Taloali that weekend that I hope we get our folks to. I agree otherwise it would be good to show our support since many of us play there. Either way maintenance at all courses is very important and a big factor as to the enjoyment that can be found at a well maintained course and one that has been forgotton about.

I think they are talking about Adair. Nate = Nate Sexton, grounds keeper for Adair. There is a big oak log on hole 3 at Adair, etc.
Thomas "T" D. April 10, 2012 at 9:50pm
Which park is the work scheduled to be done at.

Nice day at Woodmansee course for round and to finish other half of cleanup of course. Finished raking and cleaning for this go around, looking pretty good again. Still like help getting rest of barkdust spread to justify another load this fall to use before winter. Plenty of areas to use up what we have now so lets get it spread please. *** Update on bridge closure and dead tree on fairway 2 *** Just got done with contact from Parks Operations Supervisor and current status is: Bridge ... more

So a random thought came into my head this morning. Could be EPIC, could be FAIL...why not have some HANGING BASKETS in alt locations at Keizer and Taloali? Pleanty of trees to hang them by...any suggestions on which holes? Could be kool right? Could be something else for CCDG to be known for? IDK just a thought.

Jason "Rooster" Bruster April 3, 2012 at 2:46pm

Spent nice sunny day out at Woodmansee today, 1st for a quick round and then rest of day trying to get things cleaned up after last winds came thru area. Lots of raking around tee pads and baskets as usual. Took longer then planned on so only got to about 1/2 of course. Looking pretty good again but as said before, lot's of barkdust to spread on trails and such, needs it bad in areas that were not done yet. Areas that I did get done are holding up much better then those areas not done. I ... more

**** News Flash *****
I just received word this morning from parks operation supervisor that the bridege at Woodmansee will be reopened until new replacement put in. I feel I have reached some success at this point and will now see how soon it is unlocked. I hope that this will be the beginning of a new and good communication with the parks department.
