Brady "Church" Reese    January 4, 2013 at 1:54am

I just played this course on Tuesday with my buddy Bert. Definately a sweet @$$ course with pleanty of challenging holes. Trees everywhere with 100ft drop offs. You will need a spotter on most holes Ill tell ya what. Bushes and foilage everywhere so the chances of losing discs are very high...have a spotter Ill tells ya...I didnt lose a disc though :) Neither did Bert and hes a beginner who is rising up very quickly. You will definately have your intimidation lever up on high when playin this co ... more

Team Hawgfarm has officially become a entry for the Indoor Putting League beginning this Sunday. It currently consists of myself and son Quinn. We are looking for one more member that is looking to have some fun at it but be committed for the season.

Let us know if you'd like to join up with Team Hawgfarm

Best thoughts out to all in the disc community and only best wishes to the future growth and commitment of all to our sport and courses this upcoming year. I'll continue to do what I can and hope to see more and more folks understand and see the big picture and what all it takes in forethought and people power.

Off my soap box for now

and to all a good safe night

Had me a round at Woodmansee, very enjoyable to play on a good course in cleaned up condition for the winter. Thank goodness for the wood gnomes at the park that are trying to keep it together for the silly humans to throw round plastic things at chains that hang off of poles in the ground. Sorry, got side tracked.

Just throwing it out there that a kept up course is nicer to play then those neglected.

Just my thought for today and have a happy rest of the holidays

Steve Moore    December 28, 2012 at 5:39pm

Just back in from morning and early afternoon at Woodmansee getting some course cleanup done that it's been needing. Lots of leaves and down pine branches moved out of play area. Looking lot better for now so go enjoy a round there. Always more that can be done, mainly getting bark dust moved to muddy areas on trails and such. Main one first would be trail between 1 and 2 if any body felt like helping out.

Take care all and see you on a course sometime

Happy Holidays to all and now back to business. I am only hoping for the best for our group and disc golf in our area but still have many strong feelings on getting it done. With the discussion of committees starting to happen now, that is a step in right direction. We also need to get resolved board positions and ensuring the 7 positions are filled with active members ready to put forth extra effort (maybe committee chairpersons), and I feel it would be good if our leader put together a gam ... more

Looking for new members for Team Hawgfarm for the Indoor putting league coming up. Just myself so far, let me know if interested in joining the team. Or if someone else looking for player, either way.

Steve Moore    December 14, 2012 at 9:19pm

I've just come back from another days work on course at Canyonview for tomorrow, hopefully the old gnome's work will be recognized and make playing more enjoyable. Sad news is my partner (my son) has had to bail at the last moment and I am looking to partner up with someone now. Let me know if interested, it's a day of fun and fundraising so that's the way I'm looking at it. Should be quite the day as 1st event here on a course that's not there yet, but this will give a preview of things to fo ... more

Spent today up at Taloali with some of the college teams for their tournament as guide/photos/spotter with Daniel Rehm from Willamette college disc club running the show. It was nice turnout from various campuses around state. I have got course cleaned up a lot last week or two preparing for this so check it out if you haven't been there recently. Lots of nice comments today and first time for most of them. Get the tee pads finished, signage up to date and we will be set with very nice course. Let's put the plan together and get it done and on to the next project.

Jason "Rooster" Bruster    December 9, 2012 at 10:42am

So we picked up a sick location for the putting league... There are some changes so check it out...

Steve Moore    December 6, 2012 at 8:05pm

Just got back from most of the day course maintenance at Taloali and it's looking better, got a lot more leaves moved and cleared. The college teams are playing there Sunday so hope they have a good day. Still plenty to do and hope to hear soon what the plan is to finish pouring 9 tee pads all ready to go so we can move on to back nine. Let's keep on top of our course work so play time can be even more enjoyable please. If in doubt give me a holler.

Steve Moore    December 5, 2012 at 12:33am

We did a walkthrough of layout for PsychoSanta tournament December 15th at CanyonView Camp. All I will say for now is be ready to have fun and enjoy some PsycoMando holes for the day. Based off what will become the regular course but modified by the Psyco Santas behind this days fun and something different. Be ready for some wet Oregon slosh and use the correct color discs for those wild Mando throws. Should be a blast with the correct attitude, respect private property and NO party goods or ... more
