Hey CLDGC Golfers!
Just under 2 weeks to go til the kick off of Winter League 2014/15
I am toying with the idea of using this site for most of the league/club information since our Facebook group now being private and less useful as a tool for public club media.
We're looking for some feedback:
- Anything you liked/didn't like about last year's winter league
- New ideas that we haven't tried before
- Format: looks like the consensus is Saturday morning random d ...

This coming Saturday will be the last official winter league day at CL.
Please bring only $2.00 for league entry.
There will be no ACE pool or CTP options; but there will be 18 $10.00 CTP (one for every hole) that you can try and collect.
Since no one has hit an ACE we will be using the ace pool to payout these prizes. The balance will go back to the CLDGC.
Only rule: You must have attended league at least 3 times this year to be able to cash in on the CTP prizes. If you haven't there is the regular league payout to win.
See you Easter weekend.
Pros from long tee pads and Ams from short to keep all the CTB fair. On the par 4s is it second shot CTB?
It will be doubles as usual. All shorts. CL only has two long holes so I don't think it's unattainable for Am's to reach.
After all a CTP is all about a clean shot, not how long you can through. If you hit a tree you probably won't get the CTP.

We are looking at +3 for Saturday. Lets get some more players over here to enjoy the course. Too slippery at your home course? Not a problem at CL. The grippy rubber pads keep you safe and your drive even safer. No ice build up walking to the next tee. Still no league aces at CL. Will this week be any different? Come find out and test your skill at the number one rated park in Ontario. :)

11 players battled the frozen tundra of CL today. Only one team took the cash. Good job to my partner Brian as we secured the win with -8. I snuck in a low disc for the CTP on 3. Another tid bit of news to share. Brad has informed me that he and his son Josh will not be attending league anymore, due to actions of Josh on hole 4. Tub was the brave soul, who played with them; so give him a hand as he managed to keep his calm. There is nothing more to say about that topic. Come out and enjoy the rounds, when you can.

Well enough time has gone bye...the father/son combo who come out for league, Brad and Josh will be getting a firm Morlock chat next Saturday before league. It seems that the young lad, Josh can't seem to listen and adhere to league rules. I cannot and will not let our league get to the point where no one wants to show up, in fear of having to play on his card. Once the talk has been given, if anyone has a problem with any real problems, please come to me and share, so they can be dealt ... more
And it's true...we all dread having to get him as a partner.
I think him being on the card period is where it's at. Peeing all over the place is nasty. I don't mind once in an emergency, but off to the side. There was a course I played that had signs, stating no peeing on the course. Very classy, CL has a washroom, i'm sure the girls go be ... more
Brad and I have exchanged emails and he and Josh are on board to make an improvement. There are no hard feelings, just a simple heads up. I have posted a simple set of etiquette rules I beside the map, for a refresher. See you tomorrow

I will not be there tomorrow due to GTA Cup, but know a few people were talking about going (Oz, Pitman..) Just a heads up.. I tried to go there today and the park was closed with a sign that indicated it was due to "Icy Conditions on Trails" Hopefully not a factor tomorrow, but someone should check and make sure.

14 players turned out on Saturday. KMac and Drunken took the win with a -7. Brian also grabbed the CTB on 1. Thanks to Dusty for showing up to set things up for us even though he was unable to play.

The day was great, with a light snowfall and next to zero wind. Myself and Helen teamed up to take the win with -6. I also snuck in for the CTP on hole 3. I'm off to Florida with the family next week; so no league for me. GTA Cup is the week after and the ICE BOWL follows the next Sat. I will be back running league on the 26th. Happy New Year to all.

Lol. This wind is a bit much... League is a pass for me today. All are welcome to play Mother Nature for $2.00 or a few disc's when they get lost.

A fantastic turn out, with 18 people raring and ready. My partner (Bran N) and I took the win with -8. RobL took the CTP on #11 ($30.00). The new pads on the front gave us some challenges, as they had a touch f frost on them. See you next weekend.
Mr Chris, are you coming out tomorrow? and how does the course look with the snow.... It will be my first time!!! see you then...Brian

We had 10 guys out in the on and off rain this past Sat. Dusty and Helen cleaned up with a -9 and Dustin took the CTP. Good show, who knows maybe next week I'll actually be able to play well in a group. Lol.
chris morlock November 10, 2012 at 10:10pm
12 guys out to enjoy the park. Kevin and Lester took the win with a big -9 finish. Cu next week! Time to bring the A game as my last two league weeks have been rough.

Myself and Dustin are selling glo leopards $20.00. These discs are to help raise money for the Christie lake spring fling that is being held may 4-5 2013. Please support if you can. Pictures of the disc can be found on my profile.

Good job, no shameless plug to worry about. Spreading the word on great events and courses is what it's all about.
Mike Masters November 7, 2012 at 6:12am
That was a fun round. I'm liking the course more and more evertime I play it. I'll be out again Saturday and hopefully bringing at least 1-2 with me.
Excuse the shamless promotion -- but wanted to also plug my Brontes BYOP Doubles Tournmanet on Nov 18th/2012. Be great to see some more of the Christie guys out.

The summer Friday night social club represented on Saturday. Well done boys.
chris morlock November 5, 2012 at 4:49pm
That was a great tun out on Sat. Morning! Good job to the winners. We had some great feedback on the new hanger! A couple of regulars out at CL (not league) say its too high. Maybe they don't like change or a challenge.
I'll be a bit earlier next week. Opps to the sleep in. Ace pt jumped up over $60.
Jeff Kennah November 3, 2012 at 3:22am
The Ultimate boys bailed. Just me and Kevin now. Mac students don't do well early Saturday mornings.
damn. sounds like a great club final. Unfortunately myself and 4 others who would have been eligible will be at Steen for the doubles that day. Have a great time (or better yet -- have it good friday!!!!)
