Shootout at Silver Lake This Sunday!!!

We are going to be running a fund raising event this Sunday at the Silver Lake Park in the City of Fenton (off Silver Lake Parkway). $30 will get you into the event, a custom disc for the event, into the $5 50/50, and the $5 CTP pool. All profits will go into building the permanent course at the Silver Lake Park. We are going to be running a fund raising event this Sunday at the Silver Lake Park in the City of Fenton (off Silver Lake Parkway).

$30 will get you into the event, a custom disc for the event, into the $5 50/50, and the $5 CTP pool. All profits will go into building the permanent course at the Silver Lake Park. There will be no payouts however lots of opportunities to win some awesome prizes while raising funds for the baskets for this course.

We will be running registration from 8-9am. A 9:15am players meeting and a 9:30 tee time.

We will be playing a continuous loop of 27 holes (3 rounds of the 9 holes) in efforts to allow people to come play and still have all afternoon for Father's Day.

Radwyn has been working hard to get CTPs for all of the holes from local businesses and he is doing a great job. If anyone would like to contribute please let me know in advance so I can place the packages together. These are going to be some MEGA CTP prizes...

Michigan State Parks Recreation 101: Disc Golf

Please pass this word in to people that may just be getting into the sport of disc golf or jus want to know a little more about it. This is NOT for a someone that has been playing for a while...

This Wednesday, I will be instructing the Michigan State Parks Recreation 101: Disc Golf Program. The session will be held at the Sunset Ridge Pavilion by the Holly Woods disc golf course.

Speaking topics will be: Rules of the Game, Common Terms, Types of Throws, etiquette.

NOT a hands on clinic. This is an informational program only.

DGLO Spotting

Hello Black Ace Fans!

I am a part of the TD Team for the 2013 DGLO. We are hoping to make this years
event to be one of the best events on the tour. To make this hope come true, we
need to combined might of the MDGO to make this happen.

At this time, I am writing about Spotting. I am going to be compiling a list of
all of the people that are volunteering to spot at DGLO. WE already have a list
of some people however, we need MORE people, to make sure that play out on the
Toboggan goes smoothly.

So, I am asking that you send a message out to your clubs/leagues and see if
anyone is interested in assisting with spotting at the event. Spotters will
receive: 1 misprint disc per hour, shirt, lunch, and water. We need spotters
for Friday-Sunday.

Some of you have already contacted me and you are on my list. I will be getting with you all later.

Black Ace Mini

What is it? It is a 1 round (mini) tournament. Normal discs, normal rules, the only difference from a normal event is it is only 18 holes...

The first one kicks off next Wedneday, the 15th of May, at Holly Woods. $10 for all division. Open plays for cash. AM1-3 plays for plastic. Both divisions have 100% payouts.

There will be a special CTP for Black Ace Tag Holders. We only have 1 Black Ace Bag Tag remaining to be sold as well for the 2013 season!!

We are taking cashless per-registration to help with the registration process...

2013 Tournaments

BADG has a 2013 tournament update. We are planning to institute an Event Ticketing Process. The following 5 events will be a part of the BADG ETP: The Bumble Hunt 1/26 Tree Love Classic 3/23 Zombie Apolalypse 4/6 Dragon's Horde 7/21 Memoriam 9/14 At each of these events you will receive an event ticket when you register. These events tickets can been redeemed at Memoriam for a special rare, custom disc at discounted prices. For each BADG event ticket (limit of one ticket per event) ... more

At each of these events you will receive an event ticket when you register. These events tickets can been redeemed at Memoriam for a special rare, custom disc at discounted prices. For each BADG event ticket (limit of one ticket per event) redeemed a $2 discount will be applied to your final purchase price of this disc. So, a complete set of BADG tickets would be a $10 discount on this special disc. Only people with a BADG event ticket will be eligible to purchase that disc on that day.

BADG tickets are transferable so they can be traded or sold.
