Bring gloves and if you have a rake, shovel, chainsaw or weedeater that helps too.
Take a garbage bag with you when you play out there too if you have a chance- I know the garbage pep talk is like beating a dead horse, but if everyone does a little then no one has to do it all!
Thanks and see you at States!

Random Draw Doubles at RJD2 at 8:30 tonight! $5 to enter. Random flip for partners. Bring a portable if you have one! Hope to see you there, the caddie book has been posted on the home page for the tournament. Thanks everyone!

Kurtis mentioned in an earlier post on the tournament's page that they were hoping to have a doubles round on Friday night and that details would be forthcoming. I'm not sure what the plan is at this point.

Technically Russian Jack does close at 11 pm, just as most municipal parks in Anchorage do. I have been asked to leave by a patrol officer when there after 11, but I've also played after that time and encountered no one. Play at your discretion I guess...
The standard 9 hole layout will not be used for the tournament though, so if you can you should try to make it for Friday night's doubles round to get a look at the tourney layout. It will be a new layout for everyone this year from what I hear.

yes, r.j. is open all night, there are no gates or anything, so you are free to play as long as you want.
John Roe June 22, 2011 at 8:17pm
Is the Russian Jack open all night? I'm not getting to AN****il friday night and would like to throw a round before Saturday

Thank you all for your help and support this last weekend! The Solstice Showdown was a LOT of fun and a huge success. I will see y'all at State's!

I pulled some discs out of Westchester. If you've lost any recently. Let me know I'll look in my stash.

What's the schedule for this weekend tourney at the Jack?
Chris Goodrich June 19, 2011 at 5:20am
Birch hill is a beautiful course, hopefully they'll get an even bigger crowd for their first C-tier this year. Nice job Fairbanks crew, you rocked out today!
Edan Badajos June 18, 2011 at 1:35pm
To all the folks up in Fairbanks, good luck with your tourney tonight. I wish I could be there for all-night throw down!!
Also, for anyone in Homer this weekend, Jack Gist Park work party tomorrow Sunday 1-6 pm.

This is coming from an ADGA member that just loves to play disc golf in Alaska but after reading all this I don't feel like being apart of the ADGA. Back stories or not why can't we all huck plastic and support DG in Alaska that is the main point here. I agree with what matt put on the scene I hate to read all this why not just play DG
