Birch hill is a beautiful course, hopefully they'll get an even bigger crowd for their first C-tier this year. Nice job Fairbanks crew, you rocked out today!

To all the folks up in Fairbanks, good luck with your tourney tonight. I wish I could be there for all-night throw down!!

Also, for anyone in Homer this weekend, Jack Gist Park work party tomorrow Sunday 1-6 pm.

This is coming from an ADGA member that just loves to play disc golf in Alaska but after reading all this I don't feel like being apart of the ADGA. Back stories or not why can't we all huck plastic and support DG in Alaska that is the main point here. I agree with what matt put on the scene I hate to read all this why not just play DG

I don't like to get involved in these online discussions, but because my name was mentioned, I will comment. I was pretty disappointed to see that there was a Hilltop Grand Opening scheduled during the same weekend as the Homer Disc Golf Championships. The HDGC had been on the schedule for months and then the week before the tourney, a conflicting event was announced. All of us who are participating members of the ADGA have been attending the monthly meetings and working together to create a ... more

Just try to imagine our two 18 hole courses in anchorage without John's work. All else aside John has gotten it done.

I am disgusted in all parties on this board right now. I will even include ashamed to be a part of the ADGA... I have been working constantly to save the courses that are in this town (AKA the ones that are free). The over useage of drugs and alcohol at out public parks is driving the general public to hate us (as in us that is all disc golfers). In addition, the throwing of discs down the walking trails and through pedestrian tunnels is causing a hazard. Just because you carry a bag doe ... more

You have some issues Brandon, we went rounds last time as it seems history is going to repeat itself. You’re stating nonfactual information about the ties that John has with the ADGA. I’m glad to see the disc golf community got rid of his lackeys from the board. If you’re talking about that aspect of removing John from the ADGA, then I “guess” that qualifies. It seems every time you speak you insert your foot into your mouth. John is evading his accountability AGAIN I see. Not ... more

It kind of looks like you may have gotten a bad first impression of John and/or the ADGA as well. It happens. On behalf of the small percentage of the ADGA I represent. I would like to apologize for anything that may have left a bad taste in your mouth. I don't want anyone to feel alienated. I don't want to see disc golfers turned against each other in a civil war so to speak. Just keep in mind, you may not have gotten such a great first impressions with others here either. I hope that we all he ... more

Why can't we all just get along? First off, I will take NO sides in these types of arguments, but, I will elaborate on what has transpired here, in public, on the Scene. There has been talk of first impressions. Here was my first impression of Peter, it's a quote about the Goon baskets on Dannie Hallins board... Listening to you couple of people complain for the last day, has got me thinking back the last 7 years. Holly cow, we have done a lot! Something like 7 or more local courses, a pile of leagues and tourneys, and the building of what was a strong club. It is truly unfortunate that a few people were hurt along the way. And if it was me doing the hurting, then I apologize. Look at what the efforts of a few people have accomplished! Thanks people that have helped! I sure enjoy having course options! ... more
