It's a 1 day tourney, John.

John Roe    April 7, 2011 at 1:43pm

I'm dying to throw, the spring fling you guys have scheduled is that a one day event?

Edan Badajos    March 16, 2011 at 1:20am

Can we get the minutes from the last two club meetings posted. I called in and was listening, but I also want to make sure I did not miss anything.

Brian Gutzwiller    March 15, 2011 at 10:42pm

This is the date on the website. May 4, 2011

Greetings! With all this sunshine, and the sun setting after 8pm, I'm itching for some Wednesday Dubbs @ Kincade..! When is the official start & anyone for an unofficial start?

Louie Orozco    March 7, 2011 at 4:56pm

Hey John! We have a "mock" schedule set up. Once it's finalized you'll see it on We have our monthly meeting tomorrow night so maybe it'll get finalized then. I'm sure you already know but we'll be heading up to Fairbanks for a solstice tourney (at least that's what i've heard) in June. I'm really excited about that one as i've never been to Fairbanks and i've met a lot of cool disc golfers from that area.

John Roe    March 7, 2011 at 3:41pm

I'd like to come down and play in some of your tournaments this summer. Any idea when the schedule will be set?

Matthew Forney    February 17, 2011 at 7:47pm

Sorry the date of that meeting will be March 8, 2011.

Matthew Forney    February 17, 2011 at 7:46pm

Hello Everyone!

We are going to need to move the next meeting to the second Tuesday in March as Brian G., Louie and I are going to be out of town at the Discraft Memorial Championship. I appreciate everyone's flexibility.

FYI-I have secured a toll free conference call center for the out of towners or in towners to call in on. This number will be coming shortly as will the location of the meeting.

Thanks Again

Matt Forney

Hello All, Some things we need to start thinking about before summer is upon us, are Tournaments and TDs. I would like to get these taken care of sooner than later to get them in the PDGA magazine and get to the business side of raising money and growing our sport. Do I have any volunteers for TDs. The following is a preliminary schedule that was discussed at the last ADGA meeting: May 7th World's Biggest May 21st Girdwood (PDGA/TD=Kurtis) June 11-12th Homer City (PDGA/TD=Edan) ... more

Since I started the discussion, here are my goals: 1. Avoid the injury bug. Avoid the injury bug. Avoid the injury bug. It bears repeating. 2. Continue to grow the Kenai Eagle Club. 3. Finally get tee pads in for the yellow tees. 4. Help with planning/installation of a rumored Nikiski course. 5. Help prepare a new batch of players for leagues/tourneys 6. Further support promotion of DG in Seward 7. Play in one tourney outside of Alaska. 8. One 1000 rated round (this is my pipe dream). ... more

In 2011, I want to see the Back Nine Project at Russian Jack installed. Begin working on North Jack, an eighteen hole course on the north side of the park. Run a recreational league on Tuesday nights at RJSP. Get a few rounds in at the new Hilltop Course. Work out a new configuration and upgrades for Peters Creek. Play On!

Louie Orozco    January 21, 2011 at 5:15pm

Fun topic Chris.

I would like to win a sanctioned tournament (preferrably States). Attend three tournaments Outside: The Memorial, Am Worlds and ??? And lastly, end 2011 with a rating above 920.

James Gough    January 20, 2011 at 6:25pm

WIN State

Chris Goodrich    January 20, 2011 at 2:42am

Now that things have died down a bit. How about a fun topic.

What are everyones' DG goals for the 2011 season?

Chris Goodrich    January 12, 2011 at 3:39pm

I figured, wasn't worried just amused. Who hasn't had typos in their papers? Thanks again for posting it, I had been interested in reading the bylaws for a while now, some of it was a little surprising, but it is all good to know.

tim kosednar    January 12, 2011 at 1:24pm

Yes Chris, $20 is correct to renew. I had to transcribe the document and may have made some errors. Hopefully only a few.

Chris Goodrich    January 12, 2011 at 12:47am

Thanks Tim, that was an interesting read. I especially liked the (assumed) typo on the renewal fee for membership. Here's to hoping that was supposed to say $20.

AK Discer    January 12, 2011 at 12:36am

Thanks a lot for the post Tim, I've been curious of this info myself.

Today is the last day to have nominations for board elections next month February 1st, 2011.

tim kosednar    January 11, 2011 at 11:56pm

My previous post is a copy of the bylaws from 2004
